1. The recent H5N1 pandemic has exposed significant weaknesses in the industrial livestock industry, emphasising the urgent need to thoroughly evaluate animal welfare within India’s environmental and regulatory systems.
अलीकडील H5N1 साथीच्या रोगाने औद्योगिक पशुधन उद्योगातील महत्त्वपूर्ण कमकुवतपणा उघड केला आहे, भारताच्या पर्यावरणीय आणि नियामक प्रणालींमध्ये प्राणी कल्याणाचे पूर्णपणे मूल्यांकन करण्याच्या तातडीच्या गरजेवर जोर दिला आहे.
2. The UN Secretary-General has recently established a panel on Critical Energy Transition Minerals. The group’s purpose is to create global guidelines for the minerals value chain. These principles will aim to protect environmental and social standards and promote fairness in the energy transition. Participation in these principles will be voluntary.
संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या सरचिटणीसांनी अलीकडेच क्रिटिकल एनर्जी ट्रांझिशन मिनरल्सवर एक पॅनेल स्थापन केले आहे. खनिज मूल्य साखळीसाठी जागतिक मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वे तयार करणे हा समूहाचा उद्देश आहे. या तत्त्वांचे उद्दिष्ट पर्यावरणीय आणि सामाजिक मानकांचे संरक्षण करणे आणि ऊर्जा संक्रमणामध्ये निष्पक्षता वाढवणे हे असेल. या तत्त्वांमध्ये सहभाग ऐच्छिक असेल.
