1. Union Minister of Commerce Piyush Goyal recently announced the Central Government is mulling allowing businesses to use their permanent account number (PAN) as a unique identifier for accessing the national single window system (NSWS) to receive different clearances and approvals from central and state governments.

2. Bharti Airtel and Meta have decided to jointly invest in global connectivity infrastructure project that would extend the 2Africa Pearls (a subsea cable) to India.

3. Researchers in IIT Madras have developed and deployed a system called Sindhuja-I that is capable of generating electricity using energy from sea waves. It was recently deployed some 6 km from the coast of Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, where the sea’s depth is around 20 meters.

4. The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has recently approved the Print and Digital Media Association (PADMA) as a self-regulatory body for publishers of news and current affairs across India.

7. According to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), fire count from Stubble Burning in Delhi and the NCR (National Capital Region) has reduced by 31.5% in 2022 as compared to 2021.

8. The Bombay High Court (HC) seeks the Dharavi redevelopment project authority’s reply to Public Interest Litigation (PIL) for removal of Mahim Nature Park from the Dharavi Redevelopment Project.
