| 1. Seeking to promote digital transactions, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has increased the UPI Lite wallet capacity from ₹2,000 to ₹5,000. Announced yesterday, the new rules have immediate effect.
डिजिटल व्यवहारांना प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) ने UPI Lite वॉलेटची क्षमता ₹2,000 वरून ₹5,000 पर्यंत वाढवली आहे. काल जाहीर करण्यात आलेले नवीन नियम तात्काळ लागू झाले आहेत. |
| 2. India and Egypt recently completed the 13th session of Foreign Office Consultations in New Delhi. The meeting was co-chaired by Arun Kumar Chatterjee and Ambassador Ahmed Shaheen. The discussions attempted to improve the two nations’ current relations.

| 3. The Government of India has created an innovative tool, ‘Anna Chakra’, to improve the Public Distribution System (PDS), with the goal of streamlining food supply chains and improving subsidy processes.

| 4. Telangana has teamed with Google to construct the Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC) in Hyderabad, India’s first GSEC and the world’s fifth. The centre focuses on improving security and internet safety products for the Indian market.

| 5. The SHe-Box site was created to deal with sexual harassment at work. It has been open since October 19, 2024, as part of the government’s plan to make workplaces safer. This tool was made by the Ministry of Women and Child Development to make the process of filing complaints easier in many areas.

| 6. The total amount of debt that low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) owed to other countries reached an all-time high of US$8.8 trillion in 2023. It got more expensive than ever to pay this loan off. These patterns are shown in the 2024 International Debt Report (IDR), which also contains important details about the flow of debt and the future of the economy in that year.

| 7. The Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) program aims to give rural families more power by teaching one person from each of the 6 crore rural homes. As of March 31, 2024, more than 6.39 crore people had been educated, which was more than expected.

| 8. The Bharatiya Vayuyan Vidheyak (BVV) Bill, 2024, was just passed by the Parliament. It aims to replace the Aircraft Act, 1934, which was last changed in 2020, and make big changes to the aircraft industry.
