1. Vesak, also known as Buddha Jayanti commemorates the birth, enlightenment (Buddhahood), and death (Parinirvāna) of Gautama Buddha.This year Vesak day falls on 7th may in India.
वेदक, याला बुद्ध जयंती म्हणून ओळखले जाते, गौतम बुद्धाचा जन्म, ज्ञान (बुद्धत्व) आणि मृत्यू (परिनिर्वाण) यांचे स्मरण केले जाते. यावर्षी वेसक दिवस भारतात 07 मे रोजी आला आहे.

4. Indian Economic Services officer D P S Negi took charge as Director General of Labour Bureau in the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
भारतीय आर्थिक सेवा अधिकारी डी पी एस नेगी यांनी कामगार व रोजगार मंत्रालयात कामगार ब्युरोच्या महासंचालकपदाचा कार्यभार स्वीकारला.

5. In one of the largest evacuation exercises named the Vande Bharat Mission, the government will operate 64 flights till May 13 to bring home nearly 14,800 Indian nationals stranded abroad due to the coronavirus lockdown.
वंदे भारत मिशन नावाच्या सर्वात मोठ्या निर्वासन अभ्यासानुसार, कोरोनव्हायरस लॉकडाऊनमुळे परदेशात अडकलेल्या जवळपास 14,800 भारतीय नागरिकांना घरी परतण्यासाठी सरकार 13 मे पर्यंत 64 उड्डाणे चालवित आहे.

6. The Ministry of Tourism launched the ‘DekhoApnaDesh’ logo design contest on the MyGov platform.
पर्यटन मंत्रालयाने मायगोव्ह प्लॅटफॉर्मवर ‘देखोअपनादेश’ लोगो डिझाइन स्पर्धा लॉंच केली.

7. Aarogya Setu Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) the feature has been implemented in the Aarogya Setu mobile application. The new feature of the app aims to include the citizens with feature phones and landlines under the protection of Aarogya Setu. The service is available across the country.
आरोग्य सेतू इंटरॅक्टिव व्हॉईस रिस्पॉन्स सिस्टम (आयव्हीआरएस) हे वैशिष्ट्य आरोग्य सेतू मोबाइल अनुप्रयोगात लागू केले गेले आहे. अ‍ॅपच्या नवीन वैशिष्ट्यामध्ये आर्योग्य सेतूच्या संरक्षणाखाली फीचर फोन आणि लँडलाईन असलेल्या नागरिकांचा समावेश करणे आहे. ही सेवा देशभरात उपलब्ध आहे.

8. Coronavirus Global Response International pledging conference was held virtually on 5 May. The conference began on 4 May and expected to end on 23 May.
कोरोनाव्हायरस ग्लोबल रिस्पॉन्स इंटरनॅशनल प्लेजिंग कॉन्फरन्स 5 मे रोजी अक्षरशः घेण्यात आली. परिषद 4 मे रोजी सुरू झाली आणि 23 मे रोजी संपेल अशी अपेक्षा आहे.

9. AYUSH Minister Shripad Yesso Naik and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan will jointly launch three AYUSH based studies related to COVID-19 situation at New Delhi on 7 May.
आयुष मंत्री श्रीपाद येसो नाईक आणि आरोग्यमंत्री हर्षवर्धन संयुक्तपणे 7 मे रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे कोविड-19 परिस्थितीशी संबंधित आयुष आधारित तीन अभ्यास संयुक्तपणे सुरू करणार आहेत.

10. The Iranian Parliament has announced the decision to replace its currency “Rial” with another basic unit of currency called the “Toman.” Each toman will be worth 10,000 rials under the new system.
इराणच्या संसदेने त्याचे चलन “रियाल” बदलून दुसर्‍या मूलभूत युनिटला “तोमन” नावाच्या चलनाच्या बदलीचा निर्णय जाहीर केला आहे. नवीन यंत्रणा अंतर्गत प्रत्येक तोमनची किंमत 10,000 रियाल असेल.
