1. Infant Protection Day is celebrated on 7 November. The day aims to celebrate the day to spread awareness about the safety of infants and protect their lives by taking proper care of infants.

2. Minister of State in the External Affairs Ministry V Muraleedharan reached Abu Dhabi to attend the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) meeting.

5. Dr Vinaya Shetty, from Mumbai India, is the first Indian to be elected to the position of General Vice President (GVP), International Organisation Development Association (IODA) since its inception in 1986.
