1. National Technology Day is observed on 11 May. The day highlights the importance of science in daily life.

2. The Registration Committee (RC) under the Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) recommended a complete ban on the use of antibiotics streptomycin and tetracycline on crops with immediate effect.
केंद्रीय कीटकनाशके मंडळ व नोंदणी समिती (CIBRC) अंतर्गत नोंदणी समितीने (आरसी) त्वरित प्रभावाने पिकांवर अँटीबायोटिक्स स्ट्रेप्टोमाइसिन आणि टेट्रासाइक्लिनच्या वापरावर पूर्ण बंदी घालण्याची शिफारस केली.

3. Government of India launched “Mission Sagar” on 10 May. The aim is to provide assistance to Indian Ocean Region Nations amid the coronavirus crisis. The operation is being progressed in coordination with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
भारत सरकारने 10 मे रोजी “मिशन सागर” लाँच केले. कोरोनव्हायरसच्या संकटाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर हिंद महासागर प्रांतातील राष्ट्रांना मदत पुरविण्याचे उद्दीष्ट आहे. संरक्षण मंत्रालय (एमओडी) आणि परराष्ट्र मंत्रालय (एमईए) यांच्या समन्वयाने या कारवाईची प्रगती केली जात आहे.

4. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh approved the abolition of 9,304 posts in the Engineer-in-Chief of Military Engineering Services (MES). The move was aimed to optimize more than 9,300 posts in the basic and industrial workforce as per the recommendations of the Committee of Experts, headed by Lieutenant General Shekatkar.
संरक्षणमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह यांनी अभियंता-इन-चीफ-चीफ-लष्करी अभियांत्रिकी सेवा (MES) मधील 9,304 पदे रद्द करण्यास मान्यता दिली. लेफ्टनंट जनरल शेकाटकर यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखालील तज्ज्ञांच्या समितीच्या शिफारशीनुसार मूलभूत आणि औद्योगिक कामगार दलात 9,300 हून अधिक पदे ऑप्टिमाइझ करण्याच्या उद्देशाने या कारवाईचे उद्दीष्ट होते.

5. India has sent Indian Naval Ship Kesari to Maldives, Mauritius, Madagascar, Comoros and Seychelles, carrying on board two Medical Assistance Teams, consignments of COVID related essential medicines and essential food items.
भारताने भारतीय नौदल जहाज केसरी मालदीव, मॉरिशस, मेडागास्कर, कोमोरोस आणि सेशेल्स येथे पाठविली आहे. त्यामध्ये दोन वैद्यकीय सहाय्यता संघ, कोविड संबंधित आवश्यक औषधे आणि आवश्यक खाद्यपदार्थांच्या वस्तूंचा समावेश आहे.

6. India’s fuel consumption fell almost 46 per cent in April as all petroleum products, except LPG.
एलपीजी वगळता इतर पेट्रोलियम पदार्थांमुळे एप्रिलमध्ये भारताचा इंधन वापर सुमारे 46 टक्क्यांनी घसरला आहे.

7. Considering representations from certain industries and industry associations, the Odisha government decided to provide relaxation for industries and commercial activities and approved a 12-hour work shift instead of 8 hours.
ठराविक उद्योग व उद्योग संघटनांचे प्रतिनिधीत्व लक्षात घेता ओडिशा सरकारने उद्योग व व्यावसायिक कामांसाठी विश्रांती देण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आणि 8 तासांऐवजी 12 तासांच्या कामाच्या शिफ्टला मान्यता दिली.

8. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR is leading the fight against COVID-19 using a multi-pronged approach and multiple models of engagement.
वैज्ञानिक आणि औद्योगिक संशोधन परिषद, सीएसआयआर एक बहु-दृष्टिकोनित दृष्टीकोन आणि गुंतवणूकीच्या अनेक मॉडेल्सचा वापर करून कोविड -19  च्या विरोधातील लढाईचे नेतृत्व करीत आहे.

9. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and a Hyderabad based leading Vaccine manufacturing company Bharat Biotech International Limited have partnered to develop a fully indigenous vaccine for COVID-19.
इंडियन काउन्सिल ऑफ मेडिकल रिसर्च (ICMR) आणि हैदराबादमधील अग्रणी व्हॅकसिन मॅन्युफॅक्चरिंग कंपनी भारत बायोटेक इंटरनेशनल लिमिटेड यांनी कोविड-19 साठी संपूर्ण स्वदेशी लस विकसित करण्यासाठी भागीदारी केली आहे.

10. SBI General Insurance launched the standard health insurance policy – Aarogya Sanjeevani Health Insurance Policy SBI General Insurance.
SBI जनरल इन्शुरन्सने मानक आरोग्य विमा पॉलिसी – आरोग्य संजीवनी आरोग्य विमा पॉलिसी एसबीआय जनरल विमा सुरू लॉंच केले आहे.
