| 1. A recent research published by the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed concerning maternal death numbers. In 2020, pregnancy and childbirth-related avoidable factors claimed the lives of over 287,000 women. This is equivalent to over 800 fatalities every day. The report emphasizes the need of taking immediate action and highlights important maternal health problems.
