1. On April 13, Siachen Day is celebrated to remember the bravery and loss of Indian Army men who fought at the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battlefield. On the same day in 1984, “Operation Meghdoot” began to protect the glacier, which was carefully placed close to the Line of Control between India and Pakistan.
13 एप्रिल रोजी, सियाचीन दिन हा जगातील सर्वात उंच युद्धभूमी असलेल्या सियाचीन ग्लेशियरवर लढलेल्या भारतीय सैन्यातील जवानांच्या शौर्य आणि पराभवाच्या स्मरणार्थ साजरा केला जातो. याच दिवशी 1984 मध्ये भारत आणि पाकिस्तान यांच्यातील नियंत्रण रेषेच्या जवळ असलेल्या हिमनदीचे संरक्षण करण्यासाठी “ऑपरेशन मेघदूत” सुरू झाले.

2. The government has made a historic order of Rs 65,000 crore for 97 LCA Mark 1A fighter planes from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), marking the largest ever purchase of domestic military equipment. The upgraded iteration of the Tejas aircraft, known as LCA Mark 1A, will supplant the outdated MiG fleet already in service with the Indian Air Force. The directive is a component of the government’s initiatives to enhance indigenization in the military industry and provide assistance to small and medium companies.
सरकारने हिंदुस्तान एरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (HAL) कडून 97 LCA मार्क 1A लढाऊ विमानांसाठी 65,000 कोटी रुपयांची ऐतिहासिक ऑर्डर केली आहे, जी देशांतर्गत लष्करी उपकरणांची आतापर्यंतची सर्वात मोठी खरेदी आहे. 3. The Election Commission of India has abolished the necessity for Kashmiri migrant voters residing in the Jammu and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir to complete ‘Form M’ in order to participate in the Lok Sabha elections.

4. South Korea recently conducted legislative elections to choose all 300 members of the National Assembly. The primary opposition Democratic Party and its affiliated party secured a total of 175 seats, while a minor liberal opposition party acquired 12 seats. This inflicted a significant setback against President Yoon Suk Yeol and his conservative People Power Party, which collectively secured a mere 108 seats.

5. Blue Origin, the aerospace corporation established by Jeff Bezos, has declared that Gopichand Thotakura, an Indian citizen, would be included as a member of a six-person team on the next New Shepard expedition.
If Thotakura is successful, he would become the second Indian citizen to go to space, following wing commander Rakesh Sharma in 1984. Additionally, he will be the first Indian civilian astronaut.

In recent years, wallets and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) have become indispensable components of our everyday routines, owing to the endeavours of prominent corporations such as Paytm, PhonePe, and Amazon. Nevertheless, the restriction that wallet funds can only be accessed via the web or mobile application supplied by the issuer of the prepaid payment instrument (PPI) has frequently prompted user complaints. In order to tackle this concern, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has suggested permitting the integration of PPIs with UPI applications developed by third parties.
