1. The US” Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has committed USD 3.6 million to assist India’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
अमेरिकेच्या रोग नियंत्रण व प्रतिबंध केंद्राने (CDC) कोविड-19 साथीच्या आजाराला भारताच्या प्रतिसादासाठी 3.6 दशलक्ष डॉलर्स वचनबद्ध केले आहे.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a special economic package worth 20 lakh crore rupees for an ‘Atma-Nirbhar Bharat’ or self-reliant India.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी ‘आत्मा-निर्भर भारत’ किंवा स्वावलंबी भारतासाठी 20 लाख कोटी रुपयांचे विशेष आर्थिक पॅकेज जाहीर केले आहे.

3. Jammu and Kashmir announced that it will provide a tap water connection to all rural households by December 2022 under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). In the year 2020, the State is planning for 100% coverage of all 5,000 villages of 3 districts namely Gandharbal, Srinagar, and Raisi.
जम्मू-काश्मीरने जाहीर केले की ते जल ग्रामीण मिशन (जेजेएम) अंतर्गत डिसेंबर 2022 पर्यंत सर्व ग्रामीण घरांना नळपाणी जोडणार आहेत. सन 2020 मध्ये, गंधर्बल, श्रीनगर आणि रायसी या जिल्ह्यातील सर्व 5,000 गावांच्या 100% कव्हरेजसाठी राज्य सरकार विचार करीत आहे.

4. The Shanghai-based New Development Bank of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries have fully disbursed $1 billion emergency assistance loan to India to help it contain the spread of COVID-19 and reduce human, social and economic losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
ब्रिक्सच्या शांघाय आधारित न्यू डेव्हलपमेंट बँक (ब्राझील, रशिया, भारत, चीन, दक्षिण आफ्रिका) देशांनी कोविड -19  चा प्रसार रोखण्यासाठी आणि मानवी, सामाजिक व आर्थिक कमी करण्यासाठी मदतीसाठी भारताला 1 अब्ज डॉलर्सची आपत्कालीन मदत कर्ज पूर्णपणे वितरीत केले आहे.

5. The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup has been rescheduled between 17 February and 7 March 2021.

6. Two scientific papers of India on child survival by the State-Level Disease Burden Initiative stated that the under-5 Mortality Rate in India has dropped by 49% since 2000.
राज्यस्तरीय रोग बर्डन इनिशिएटिव्हच्या बाल अस्तित्वावर भारताच्या दोन वैज्ञानिक कागदपत्रांत असे नमूद केले आहे की 2000 पासून भारतातील 5 वर्षाखालील मृत्यू दर 49 टक्क्यांनी कमी झाला आहे.

7. The Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda held a video conference with States/UTs on “Tribal livelihoods and safety” in New Delhi on 13 May. The conference was attended by Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, State Ministers for Tribal Affairs, and state ministers for Forests from more than 20 states/UTs along with senior State officials

8. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has nominated Sandesh Jhingan and N Bala Devi for this year’s Arjuna Award.

9. Sports Authority of India (SAI) has formed a committee to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure to resume training in all SAI Centres in all sporting disciplines after the lockdown is lifted.

10. Actor Shafique Ansari, who starred in Sony TV’s show Crime Patrol, has died. He was 52.
सोनी टीव्हीचा शो क्राइम पेट्रोलमध्ये काम करणारे अभिनेते शफिक अन्सारी यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 52 वर्षांचे होते.
