Sources indicate that the extent of forested area in India has consistently increased over the past 15 years. India is projected to see the third-highest increase in forest area annually from 2010 to 2020, contributing to its overall growth.
मे 2023 मध्ये न्यू यॉर्कमध्ये संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघाच्या वन मंचाच्या (UNFF) 19 व्या सत्रादरम्यान भारताने महत्त्वपूर्ण विधाने केली. देशाने जंगलांच्या संरक्षणातील आपल्या उपलब्धींवर प्रकाश टाकला, त्यांना सावध प्रशासन आणि प्रभावी धोरण अंमलबजावणीचे श्रेय दिले. गेल्या 15 वर्षांमध्ये भारतातील वनक्षेत्राची व्याप्ती सातत्याने वाढत असल्याचे सूत्रांनी सांगितले. 2010 ते 2020 या कालावधीत भारताने वनक्षेत्रात वार्षिक तिसऱ्या क्रमांकाची सर्वाधिक वाढ पाहण्याचा अंदाज वर्तवला आहे, ज्यामुळे त्याच्या एकूण वाढीला हातभार लागला आहे.

4. The Vibrant Village Programme (VVP), sanctioned by the government on February 15, 2023, aims to enhance the infrastructure and promote stability of settlements along the India-China border. The objective of this project is to enhance the quality of life for those residing in 2,967 villages located across 46 border blocks in 19 districts within the regions of Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh. The primary objective of the VVP is to prevent the migration of individuals from border towns, enhance living conditions, and bolster border security by maintaining a densely inhabited frontline.
15 फेब्रुवारी 2023 रोजी सरकारने मंजूर केलेल्या व्हायब्रंट व्हिलेज प्रोग्राम (VVP) चे उद्दिष्ट पायाभूत सुविधा वाढवणे आणि भारत-चीन सीमेवर वस्त्यांच्या स्थिरतेला प्रोत्साहन देणे आहे. अरुणाचल प्रदेश, हिमाचल प्रदेश, सिक्कीम, उत्तराखंड आणि लडाख या प्रदेशांमधील 19 जिल्ह्यांतील 46 सीमा ब्लॉक ओलांडून 2,967 गावांमध्ये राहणाऱ्या लोकांचे जीवनमान उंचावणे हा या प्रकल्पाचा उद्देश आहे. VVP चे प्राथमिक उद्दिष्ट सीमावर्ती शहरांमधील व्यक्तींचे स्थलांतर रोखणे, राहणीमान सुधारणे आणि दाट वस्ती असलेल्या फ्रंटलाइन राखून सीमा सुरक्षा मजबूत करणे हे आहे.

5. Idashisha Nongrang, a Senior IPS Officer, has been appointed as Meghalaya’s inaugural female Director General of Police (DGP) on May 11, 2024. The Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, formally declared this groundbreaking decision, recognising it as a momentous occasion for the state. Nongrang’s elevation to this esteemed position also marks her as the first indigenous woman to achieve such a status.
11 मे 2024 रोजी मेघालयच्या उदघाटक महिला पोलीस महासंचालक (डीजीपी) म्हणून इदशिशा नॉन्ग्रांग या वरिष्ठ IPS अधिकारी यांची नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. मुख्यमंत्री कॉनरॅड के संगमा यांनी औपचारिकपणे हा महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णय जाहीर केला आणि तो महत्त्वाचा प्रसंग म्हणून ओळखला. राज्य नॉन्ग्रांगचे या प्रतिष्ठित स्थानापर्यंत पोहोचणे देखील तिला असा दर्जा प्राप्त करणारी पहिली स्थानिक महिला म्हणून चिन्हांकित करते.

The dietary guidelines announced by the ICMR in May 2024 caution customers that labels created to grab attention may not provide an accurate representation of the nutritional value of the items.
