1. The Seema Darshan Project was inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah in Nadabet on the Indo-Pak border in Gujarat’s Banaskantha District.

2. Mumbai and Hyderabad have been named the 2021 Tree Cities of the World by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Arbor Day Foundation.

4. India has been elected to the United Nations Economic and Social Council’s (ECOSOC) four major bodies, including the Commission on Science and Technology for Development.

5. Under the Rs 10,683-crore production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the garment and textile sector, the central government of India has given its approval for the financial support of 61 companies.
वस्त्र आणि वस्त्र क्षेत्रासाठी 10,683 कोटी रुपयांच्या उत्पादन-लिंक्ड इन्सेंटिव्ह (PLI) योजनेअंतर्गत, भारताच्या केंद्र सरकारने 61 कंपन्यांच्या आर्थिक सहाय्यासाठी मान्यता दिली आहे.

6. The India Meteorological Department (IMD has issued a long-range forecast for the southwest monsoon season rainfall during the period June to September. The prediction has stated that rainfall will be normal this year.
भारतीय हवामान विभाग (IMD) ने जून ते सप्टेंबर या कालावधीत नैऋत्य मोसमी पावसाचा लांब पल्ल्याचा अंदाज जारी केला आहे. या अंदाजानुसार यंदा पाऊस सामान्य असेल.

7. To reduce the cotton prices, the Indian government has decided to exempt all customs duties on the imports of cotton. This exemption announced by the government will be benefiting the textile chain- fabric, yarn, made-ups, and garments as well as provide relief to the consumers and the textile industry.
कापसाच्या किमती कमी करण्यासाठी भारत सरकारने कापसाच्या आयातीवरील सर्व सीमाशुल्कात सूट देण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. सरकारने जाहीर केलेल्या या सवलतीमुळे कापड साखळी-फॅब्रिक, धागा, मेक-अप आणि वस्त्रांना फायदा होणार आहे तसेच ग्राहकांना आणि वस्त्रोद्योगाला दिलासा मिळणार आहे.

8. For the fiscal year 2022-23, India’s GDP forecast has been slashed by the World Bank from 8.7 percent to 8 percent. The reason given for the change in forecast is due to rising inflation and worsening global supply caused due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
2022-23 या आर्थिक वर्षासाठी, जागतिक बँकेने भारताचा जीडीपी अंदाज 8.7 टक्क्यांवरून 8 टक्क्यांपर्यंत कमी केला आहे. रशिया-युक्रेन युद्धामुळे वाढती महागाई आणि बिघडलेला जागतिक पुरवठा हे अंदाज बदलण्याचे कारण देण्यात आले आहे.

9. Tamil Nadu celebrated 14th April 2022, the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar as ‘Equality Day’ from this year onwards.
