1. Army Day is observed on 15 January every year. India celebrates 72nd Army Day on 15 January 2020.
दरवर्षी 15 जानेवारीला सेना दिन साजरा केला जातो. 15 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी भारत 72 वा सेना दिन साजरा करीत आहे.

2. The 182-meter tall Statue of Unity in Gujarat enters Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s ‘8 Wonders of SCO’ list. The announcement was made by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced on 13 January.
गुजरातमधील 182 मीटर उंच स्टॅच्यू ऑफ युनिटी ने शांघाय कोऑपरेशन ऑर्गनायझेशनच्या ‘SCO 8 वंडर्स’ या यादीमध्ये प्रवेश केला आहे. ही घोषणा परराष्ट्रमंत्री एस जयशंकर यांनी 13 जानेवारी रोजी केली.

3. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is to launch a communication satellite (geosynchronous satellites) GSAT-30 onboard the Ariane-5 launch vehicle (VA 251) from French Guiana, northeastern coast of South America on 17 January 2020.
भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्था (इस्रो) 17 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी दक्षिण अमेरिकेच्या ईशान्य किनारपट्टीच्या फ्रेंच गुयाना येथून एरियन -5 प्रक्षेपण वाहन (VA 251) वरून GSAT -30 (जीओसिंक्रोनस उपग्रह) प्रक्षेपित करणार आहे.

4. The government has appointed Michael Patra as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). He will hold the office for a period of three years.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडियाचे (RBI) डेप्युटी गव्हर्नर म्हणून मायकेल पात्रा यांची नियुक्ती सरकारने केली आहे. या नियुक्तीला मंत्रिमंडळाच्या नियुक्ती समितीने (एसीसी) मान्यता दिली. तीन वर्षांच्या कालावधीत ते हे पद सांभाळतील.

5. The Aviation Ministry announced a scheme that providing a window up to 31 January for voluntary registration of all drones and their operators. Those who fail to register will face action under the Indian Penal Code and the Aircraft Act.
उड्डयन मंत्रालयाने एक अशी योजना जाहीर केली जी सर्व ड्रोन आणि त्यांचे चालकांच्या ऐच्छिक नोंदणीसाठी 31 जानेवारी पर्यंत विंडो उपलब्ध करुन देईल. ज्यांना नोंदणी करण्यात अपयशी ठरले आहे त्यांना भारतीय दंड संहिता आणि विमान कायद्यानुसार कारवाई करावी लागेल.

6. Retail inflation rose to about five-and-half year high of 7.35 per cent in December 2019, surpassing the RBI’s comfort level, mainly due to rise in prices of vegetables as onions.
कांद्याच्या/भाजीपाल्यांच्या किंमती वाढल्यामुळे डिसेंबर 2019 मध्ये किरकोळ महागाईचा दर आरबीआयच्या सोईच्या पातळीला मागे टाकत डिसेंबर 2019 मध्ये सुमारे साडेपाच वर्षाच्या उच्चांकी 7.35 टक्क्यांपर्यंतची उच्चांकी पातळीवर गेला.

7. Former co-founder and CEO of e-commerce giant Flipkart recently acquired DHFL General Insurance from the Kapil Wadhawan-led Wadhawan Group of companies for ₹100 crore.
ई-कॉमर्स दिग्गज फ्लिपकार्टचे माजी सह-संस्थापक आणि मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी यांनी नुकतीच कपिल वाधवन यांच्या नेतृत्वात वाधावन ग्रुपच्या कंपन्यांकडून DHFL जनरल इन्शुरन्स ₹100 कोटीमध्ये विकत घेतले आहे.

8. Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles, Smriti Irani launched 3 welfare Schemes namely the Yashaswini Scheme for Women entrepreneurship, Swasthya Sahayak Project and breast cancer screening initiative for women in Goa in the presence of Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
केंद्रीय महिला व बालविकास व वस्त्रोद्योग मंत्री स्मृती इराणी यांनी गोव्याचे मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत आणि राज्याचे आरोग्यमंत्री विश्वजितराणे यांच्या उपस्थितीत महिला कल्याण उद्योजकांसाठी, आरोग्य सहाय्य प्रकल्प आणि महिलांसाठी स्तन कर्करोग तपासणी उपक्रम या तीन कल्याणकारी योजना सुरू केल्या.

9. Maharashtra Chief minister Uddhav Thackeray is expected to launch the first girder for the Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL) in January 2020. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.18,000 crore. The project is expected to be completed by 2022.
महाराष्ट्राचे मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे जानेवारी 2020 मध्ये मुंबई ट्रान्स हार्बर लिंक (MTHL) साठी पहिले गर्डर सुरू करणार आहेत. या प्रकल्पाची अंदाजित किंमत 18,000 कोटी रुपये आहे. हा प्रकल्प 2022 पर्यंत पूर्ण होण्याची अपेक्षा आहे.

10. Robert Abela has been sworn in as Malta’s 14th prime minister in a ceremony at the Grand Master’s Palace in Valletta.
रॉबर्ट अबेला यांनी व्हॅलेटा येथील ग्रँड मास्टर पॅलेस येथे एका समारंभात माल्टाचे 14वे  पंतप्रधान म्हणून शपथ घेतली.
