| 1. The SSLV-D3-EOS-08 mission was initiated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). A miniature satellite intended for Earth observation was launched during this mission. It is the continuation of the SSLV-D2-EOS-07 mission, which was successfully launched in February 2023.

| 3. The President of India has bestowed prestigious gallantry awards on personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces and Armed Forces as India commemorates its 78th Independence Day. | 5. The central government has recently allocated financial incentives under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25 to encourage land-related reforms across states. During the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), the Centre will offer Rs 10,000 crore in incentives to states for the implementation of land-related reforms in rural and urban areas, as well as Rs 5,000 crore for the establishment of a Farmers’ Registry.
