1. The Tamil Nadu government has recently withdrawn the general consent given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under Section 6 of the Delhi Special Police Establishment (DSPE) Act, 1946.
तामिळनाडू सरकारने अलीकडेच दिल्ली विशेष पोलीस आस्थापना (DSPE) कायदा, 1946 च्या कलम 6 अंतर्गत केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (CBI) ला दिलेली सर्वसाधारण संमती मागे घेतली आहे.

2. The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution has recently imposed limits on the stock of wheat that can be held by traders, wholesalers, retailers, big chain retailers, and processors. This measure aims to manage overall food security, prevent hoarding, and curb unscrupulous speculation.
ग्राहक व्यवहार, अन्न आणि सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालयाने अलीकडेच व्यापारी, घाऊक विक्रेते, किरकोळ विक्रेते, मोठे साखळी विक्रेते आणि प्रक्रिया करणार्‍या गव्हाच्या साठ्यावर मर्यादा घातल्या आहेत. एकूणच अन्न सुरक्षा व्यवस्थापित करणे, साठवणूक रोखणे आणि बेईमान सट्टेबाजीला आळा घालणे हे या उपायाचे उद्दिष्ट आहे.

3. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has recently released the National Time Release Study (NTRS) 2023 report. This report measures the time taken for cargo release at different ports across India. The study aims to assess and improve the efficiency of customs clearance processes and facilitate trade in the country.
केंद्रीय अप्रत्यक्ष कर आणि सीमाशुल्क मंडळाने (CBIC) नुकताच नॅशनल टाइम रिलीज स्टडी (NTRS) 2023 अहवाल प्रसिद्ध केला आहे. हा अहवाल भारतातील विविध बंदरांवर माल सोडण्यासाठी लागणारा वेळ मोजतो. सीमाशुल्क मंजुरी प्रक्रियेच्या कार्यक्षमतेचे मूल्यांकन करणे आणि सुधारणे आणि देशातील व्यापार सुलभ करणे हे या अभ्यासाचे उद्दिष्ट आहे.

4. Recently, representatives of the Taliban met with special envoys from India and Pakistan, along with several international diplomats. This meeting took place as part of the Norwegian Government’s initiative to facilitate discussions and resolve the impasse during a peace conference held in Oslo. The aim of the meeting was to find a way forward and promote dialogue among the involved parties.
अलीकडेच, तालिबानच्या प्रतिनिधींनी भारत आणि पाकिस्तानच्या विशेष दूतांसह अनेक आंतरराष्ट्रीय राजनयिकांची भेट घेतली. ओस्लो येथे झालेल्या शांतता परिषदेदरम्यान चर्चा सुलभ करण्यासाठी आणि गतिरोध दूर करण्यासाठी नॉर्वेजियन सरकारच्या पुढाकाराचा एक भाग म्हणून ही बैठक झाली. या बैठकीचे उद्दिष्ट पुढे मार्ग शोधणे आणि सहभागी पक्षांमधील संवादाला चालना देणे हा होता.

5. According to the 2023 Forbes’ – The Global 2000 report, National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), India’s largest power generation company, has significantly improved its ranking. NTPC climbed 52 positions to secure the 433rd rank in the list. In the previous year’s ranking (2022), the company held the 485th rank. This improvement reflects NTPC’s growth and recognition in the global power sector.
2023 फोर्ब्स – द ग्लोबल 2000 च्या अहवालानुसार, नॅशनल थर्मल पॉवर कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (NTPC), भारतातील सर्वात मोठी वीज निर्मिती कंपनीने तिच्या क्रमवारीत लक्षणीय सुधारणा केली आहे. एनटीपीसीने 52 स्थानांची वाढ करत यादीत 433 वा क्रमांक मिळवला आहे. मागील वर्षाच्या क्रमवारीत (2022), कंपनी 485 व्या क्रमांकावर होती. ही सुधारणा NTPC ची जागतिक ऊर्जा क्षेत्रातील वाढ आणि ओळख दर्शवते.
