1. India and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) have recently concluded the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA).
India previously opposed the inclusion of “data exclusivity” restrictions in the pact, which would have imposed limitations on Indian pharmaceutical businesses in manufacturing generic pharmaceuticals. India and EFTA have reached an agreement to specifically exempt highly “sensitive” agricultural items and imports of gold from the trade agreement.
भारत आणि युरोपियन फ्री ट्रेड असोसिएशन (EFTA) यांनी अलीकडेच व्यापार आणि आर्थिक भागीदारी करार (TEPA) पूर्ण केला आहे. भारताने पूर्वी या करारामध्ये “डेटा एक्सक्लुझिव्हिटी” निर्बंधांचा समावेश करण्यास विरोध केला होता, ज्यामुळे जेनेरिक फार्मास्युटिकल्सच्या निर्मितीमध्ये भारतीय फार्मास्युटिकल व्यवसायांवर मर्यादा घातल्या जातील.
भारत आणि EFTA यांनी व्यापार करारातून अत्यंत “संवेदनशील” कृषी वस्तू आणि सोन्याच्या आयातीला विशेषत: सूट देण्यासाठी करार केला आहे.
2. SBI has presented a research report that focuses on the changing dynamics of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in India. This study examines the credit usage patterns and digital activities of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), their members, and a newly developing group called ‘Lakhpati Didis’.

3. Recently, the Prime Minister of Bhutan visited India, where India engaged in comprehensive discussions with Bhutan and inked many agreements between the two countries. The strong and amicable relationship between India and Bhutan is firmly based on trust, friendliness, and common ideals, which are evident in all aspects of their interaction. This long-lasting alliance acts as a fundamental basis for shared economic success and stability in the South Asian area.

4. According to the 2023-24 Human Development Report (HDR), titled ‘Breaking the Gridlock: Reimagining Cooperation in a Polarised World,’ India ranks 134 on the global Human Development Index (HDI). Switzerland has been ranked number one.

5. The Union Cabinet has granted approval for the Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme (UNNATI), 2024, with the aim of promoting industrial expansion and the creation of job opportunities in the northeastern area.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने उत्तर पूर्व परिवर्तनीय औद्योगिकीकरण योजना (UNNATI) 2024 ला मंजूरी दिली आहे, ज्याचा उद्देश औद्योगिक विस्ताराला चालना देणे आणि ईशान्येकडील भागात रोजगाराच्या संधी निर्माण करणे आहे.
6. The Centre has recently issued a notice to remove the designation of civic areas from 10 out of the 58 cantonments in the country. These regions will be consolidated with the respective state municipalities (local bodies). The administration intends to exclude specific regions within the mentioned cantonments and integrate them with the local governing bodies of the state.
केंद्राने अलीकडेच देशातील 58 पैकी 10 कॅन्टोन्मेंटमधून नागरी क्षेत्रांचे पदनाम काढून टाकण्याची नोटीस जारी केली आहे. हे प्रदेश संबंधित राज्य नगरपालिकांसह (स्थानिक संस्था) एकत्रित केले जातील. उल्लेख केलेल्या छावण्यांमधील विशिष्ट प्रदेश वगळून ते राज्याच्या स्थानिक प्रशासकीय संस्थांशी समाकलित करण्याचा प्रशासनाचा मानस आहे.
7. The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has introduced ‘ETHANOL 100’ at a total of 183 chosen retail locations across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, and Tamil Nadu. ETHANOL 100 is an innovative motor fuel composed entirely of pure ethanol.
It is a type of fuel made from sustainable sources like maize, sugarcane, or other plant resources.
केंद्राने अलीकडेच देशातील 58 पैकी 10 कॅन्टोन्मेंटमधून नागरी क्षेत्रांचे पदनाम काढून टाकण्याची नोटीस जारी केली आहे. हे प्रदेश संबंधित राज्य नगरपालिकांसह (स्थानिक संस्था) एकत्रित केले जातील. उल्लेख केलेल्या छावण्यांमधील विशिष्ट प्रदेश वगळून ते राज्याच्या स्थानिक प्रशासकीय संस्थांशी समाकलित करण्याचा प्रशासनाचा मानस आहे.
