1. Senior IPS officer Prabhat Singh has been appointed as Director General (Investigation) in the National Human Rights Commission.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a global trade show in Gandhinagar, organised as part of the ninth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019.

4. Union Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre announced that Nashik in Maharashtra will be the site of the country’s second defence innovation hub after Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

5. According to India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra), Indian economy is likely to grow a tad higher at 7.5 per cent in 2019-20 on account of steady improvement in major sectors — industry and services.
