1. According to the World Bank’s Migration and Development Brief, India, which received a record-high of USD 111 billion in remittances in 2022, is projected to experience minimal growth of just 0.2% in remittance inflows in 2023.
जागतिक बँकेच्या स्थलांतर आणि विकास संक्षेपानुसार, 2022 मध्ये USD 111 अब्ज डॉलर्सचा विक्रमी-उच्च रेमिटन्स प्राप्त झालेल्या भारताने 2023 मध्ये फक्त 0.2% ची किमान वाढ अपेक्षित आहे.

2. Recently, as part of India’s G20 Presidency, the Women 20 (W20) Summit took place in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. The summit focused on the theme of “Women-Led Development – Transform, Thrive, and Transcend.”
अलीकडेच, भारताच्या G20 अध्यक्षतेचा भाग म्हणून, तामिळनाडूच्या महाबलीपुरम येथे महिला 20 (W20) शिखर परिषद झाली. “महिला-नेतृत्व विकास – ट्रान्सफॉर्म, थ्राइव्ह आणि ट्रान्ससेंड” या थीमवर शिखर परिषद केंद्रित होती.

3. The Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (SUIT), developed by Pune’s Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), has been successfully delivered to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
पुण्याच्या इंटर-युनिव्हर्सिटी सेंटर फॉर अॅस्ट्रॉनॉमी अँड अॅस्ट्रोफिजिक्स (IUCAA) ने विकसित केलेली सोलर अल्ट्राव्हायोलेट इमेजिंग टेलिस्कोप (SUIT) भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्था (ISRO) कडे यशस्वीरित्या वितरित करण्यात आली आहे.

4. A recent study published in Geophysical Research Letters has highlighted the significant impact of groundwater extraction on Earth’s rotational axis and its contribution to global sea-level rise.
जिओफिजिकल रिसर्च लेटर्समध्ये प्रकाशित झालेल्या अलीकडील अभ्यासात पृथ्वीच्या परिभ्रमण अक्षावर भूजल उत्खननाचा महत्त्वपूर्ण प्रभाव आणि जागतिक समुद्र पातळी वाढीसाठी त्याचे योगदान हायलाइट केले आहे.

5. The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) is currently reviewing the requests for the inclusion of around 80 castes in six states (Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana) into the Other Backward Classes (OBC) list.
राष्ट्रीय मागासवर्गीय आयोग (NCBC) सध्या सहा राज्यांमधील (महाराष्ट्र, तेलंगणा, आंध्र प्रदेश, हिमाचल प्रदेश, पंजाब आणि हरियाणा) इतर मागासवर्गीय (OBC) यादीमध्ये सुमारे 80 जातींचा समावेश करण्याच्या विनंतीचे पुनरावलोकन करत आहे.

6. The Gross Direct Tax collections for the current Financial Year 2023-24 have shown a growth of 12.73%, amounting to 4,19,338 crore rupees. This marks an increase compared to the previous financial year when the government recorded collections of 3,71,982 crore rupees.
चालू आर्थिक वर्ष 2023-24 साठी सकल प्रत्यक्ष कर संकलनात 12.73% वाढ झाली आहे, ज्याची रक्कम 4,19,338 कोटी रुपये आहे. सरकारने 3,71,982 कोटी रुपयांच्या संकलनाची नोंद करताना मागील आर्थिक वर्षाच्या तुलनेत ही वाढ दर्शविली आहे.

7. INS Vagir, an Indian Navy submarine, has undertaken an operational visit to Colombo from 19-22 June 2023. The visit coincides with the celebration of the 9th edition of the International Day of Yoga and aligns with the theme of ‘Global Ocean Ring’.
