| 1. King Abdullah II of Jordan has appointed Jafar Hassan as the new Prime Minister in the wake of Bisher Al-Khasawneh and his Cabinet’s resignation following the recent parliamentary elections.

| 3. India will once again make history in space in 2025 when Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is the pilot of the Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission. After Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma’s mission in 1984, this mission will mark India’s inaugural human presence on the International Space Station (ISS) and the only second government-sponsored human spaceflight from India.

| 4. Taiwan has officially acknowledged same-sex marriages between Taiwanese and Chinese partners, a significant progress in advocating for the rights of LGBTQ individuals in cross-strait unions. This decision was made in response to Taiwan’s historic status as the first Asian nation to legalise same-sex marriage in 2019.
