1. The Union Cabinet has approved two significant bills – the Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill, 2023, and the Mediation Bill. The former focuses on press regulation, while the latter aims to facilitate the resolution of civil or commercial disputes.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने दोन महत्त्वपूर्ण विधेयकांना मंजुरी दिली आहे – प्रेस अँड रजिस्ट्रेशन ऑफ पीरियडिकल बिल, 2023 आणि मध्यस्थी विधेयक. पूर्वीचे प्रेस रेग्युलेशनवर लक्ष केंद्रित करते, तर नंतरचे उद्दिष्ट नागरी किंवा व्यावसायिक विवादांचे निराकरण सुलभ करण्यासाठी आहे.

2. The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a dedicated subsidy portal to promote the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the state. This move aims to encourage more people to switch to EVs by providing subsidies and incentives through an accessible online platform.
उत्तर प्रदेश सरकारने राज्यात इलेक्ट्रिक वाहने (EVs) अवलंबण्यास प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी समर्पित सबसिडी पोर्टल सुरू केले आहे. प्रवेश करण्यायोग्य ऑनलाइन प्लॅटफॉर्मद्वारे अनुदान आणि प्रोत्साहन प्रदान करून अधिकाधिक लोकांना ईव्हीकडे जाण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करण्याचा या उपक्रमाचा उद्देश आहे.

3. India’s aerospace industry is expected to receive a significant boost with the establishment of a fully operational factory in Vadodara, Gujarat, by November 2024. The factory’s inauguration is poised to enhance the country’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the growth of the sector.
भारताच्या एरोस्पेस उद्योगाला नोव्हेंबर 2024 पर्यंत गुजरातमधील वडोदरा येथे पूर्णत: कार्यरत असलेल्या कारखान्याच्या स्थापनेमुळे लक्षणीय चालना मिळण्याची अपेक्षा आहे. कारखान्याचे उद्घाटन देशाच्या एरोस्पेस उत्पादन क्षमता वाढविण्यासाठी आणि क्षेत्राच्या वाढीस हातभार लावण्यासाठी सज्ज आहे.

4. The Central government has recently amended the All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules 1958, which pertain to retirement benefits for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) pensioners. The amendments aim to bring changes and improvements to the existing retirement benefits provided to officers serving in these prestigious services.
केंद्र सरकारने अलीकडेच अखिल भारतीय सेवा (मृत्यू-सह-निवृत्ती लाभ) नियम 1958 मध्ये सुधारणा केली आहे, जे भारतीय प्रशासकीय सेवा (IAS), भारतीय पोलीस सेवा (IPS) आणि भारतीय वन सेवा (IFoS) निवृत्तीवेतनधारकांसाठी सेवानिवृत्ती लाभांशी संबंधित आहे. या प्रतिष्ठित सेवांमध्ये सेवा करणार्‍या अधिकार्‍यांना प्रदान केलेल्या विद्यमान सेवानिवृत्ती लाभांमध्ये बदल आणि सुधारणा घडवून आणणे हे या सुधारणांचे उद्दिष्ट आहे.

5. India and the UK are presently involved in negotiations to address contentious matters in the ongoing talks for the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both countries are working towards resolving various issues to facilitate a comprehensive trade agreement that would enhance economic cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties.
भारत आणि यूके सध्या भारत-यूके मुक्त व्यापार करार (FTA) साठी चालू असलेल्या चर्चेतील वादग्रस्त बाबींचे निराकरण करण्यासाठी वाटाघाटींमध्ये सामील आहेत. दोन्ही देश आर्थिक सहकार्य वाढवतील आणि द्विपक्षीय संबंध मजबूत करतील अशा सर्वसमावेशक व्यापार कराराची सोय करण्यासाठी विविध समस्यांचे निराकरण करण्याच्या दिशेने काम करत आहेत.

6. Recently, the President of India presented the “Bhoomi Samman” 2023 at a function organized by the Union Ministry of Rural Development. The award is given to recognize and honor outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of rural development and upliftment of rural communities in India.
अलीकडेच, केंद्रीय ग्रामीण विकास मंत्रालयाने आयोजित केलेल्या कार्यक्रमात भारताच्या राष्ट्रपतींनी “भूमी सन्मान” 2023 प्रदान केला. हा पुरस्कार भारतातील ग्रामीण विकास आणि ग्रामीण समुदायाच्या उत्थानाच्या क्षेत्रात उल्लेखनीय योगदान आणि कामगिरी ओळखण्यासाठी आणि सन्मानित करण्यासाठी दिला जातो.
