1. International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition is observed every year on 23 August.
स्लेव्ह ट्रेडची स्मरण आणि निर्मूलनासाठी आंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवस दरवर्षी 23 ऑगस्ट रोजी साजरा केला जातो.

2. The government is planning to launch an e-commerce project called ‘Bharatcraft’ for micro small and medium enterprises (MSME).
मायक्रो लघु आणि मध्यम उद्योगांसाठी (एमएसएमई) ‘भारतक्राफ्ट’ हा ई-कॉमर्स प्रकल्प सुरू करण्याची सरकारची योजना आहे.

3. Shripad Yesso Naik inaugurated the two-day National Conference on Varmam Science, a part of the Siddha system of medicine in Chennai.
श्रीपाद येसो नाईक यांच्या हस्ते चेन्नईतील सिद्ध प्रणालीच्या भागातील वर्मम सायन्स या दोन दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय परिषदेचे उद्घाटन झाले.

4. National Award-winning actor Akshay Kumar has made it to the fourth position on the Forbes magazine’s Worlds Highest-Paid Actors Of 2019 list. According to the list on forbes Akshay has raked in $65 million.
राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता अभिनेता अक्षय कुमारने 2019 च्या फोर्ब्स मासिकाच्या वर्ल्ड्स हायस्ट-पेड ॲक्टर्स ऑफ 2019 च्या यादीत चौथ्या क्रमांकावर स्थान मिळवले आहे. फोर्ब्स यादीनुसार अक्षयने 65 दशलक्ष डॉलर्सची कमाई केली आहे.

5. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has suspended the accreditation of India’s National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) for six months. It is understood that National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) can still carry on with sample collection of blood and urine but will have to get it tested by a different WADA accredited laboratory outside India during the suspension period of NDTL.
जागतिक अँटी-डोपिंग एजन्सीने (WADA) सहा महिन्यांसाठी भारताच्या नॅशनल डोप टेस्टिंग लॅबोरेटरी (NDTL) चे मान्यता रद्द केली आहे. असे समजते की नॅशनल अँटी-डोपिंग एजन्सी (नाडा) अद्याप रक्त आणि लघवीचे नमुना गोळा करून पुढे चालू ठेवू शकते परंतु एनडीटीएलच्या निलंबनाच्या कालावधीत भारताबाहेरील वेगळ्या मान्यताप्राप्त प्रयोगशाळेत त्याची तपासणी करून घ्यावी लागेल.

6. The Reserve Bank of India allows customers to make recurring payments of less than Rs.2000 without the two-factor authentication process from Sep 1.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया ग्राहकांना 1 सप्टेंबरपासून द्वि-घटक प्रमाणीकरण प्रक्रियेशिवाय 2000 रुपयांपेक्षा कमी रकमेची पेमेंट करण्याची परवानगी देणार आहे.

7. The Asia-Pacific Group (APG), might blacklist Pakistan in the meeting that is held in Canberra, Australia, on 25 August. Pakistan has already been greylisted by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) at its plenary session.

8. The 2+2 intersessional and the Maritime Security Dialogue between India and the U.S. officials are being held in the Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, California.

9. Prime Minister Modi is paying a two-day state visit to France from 22 August ahead G-7 meeting. Modi and his French counterpart President Emmanuel Macron held talks discussed to strengthen strategic ties in key sectors.
पंतप्रधान मोदी G-7 बैठकीपूर्वी 22 ऑगस्टपासून फ्रान्सच्या दोन दिवसीय राज्य दौर्‍यावर आहेत. मोदी आणि त्यांचे फ्रेंच समकक्ष अध्यक्ष इमॅन्युएल मॅक्रॉन यांच्यात प्रमुख क्षेत्रांमध्ये सामरिक संबंध दृढ करण्यासाठी चर्चा झाली.
