1. As the Russia-Ukraine conflict enters its second year in February 2024, the European Union and the United States jointly proclaim comprehensive additional sanctions against Moscow for the aggression that has disrupted global peace. These additional sanctions consist of over 500 fresh punitive measures.
रशिया-युक्रेन संघर्ष फेब्रुवारी 2024 मध्ये दुसऱ्या वर्षात प्रवेश करत असताना, युरोपियन युनियन आणि युनायटेड स्टेट्स यांनी संयुक्तपणे जागतिक शांततेला बाधा आणणाऱ्या आक्रमकतेबद्दल मॉस्कोवर सर्वसमावेशक अतिरिक्त निर्बंधांची घोषणा केली. या अतिरिक्त मंजुरींमध्ये 500 हून अधिक ताज्या दंडात्मक उपायांचा समावेश आहे.

2. The implementation of a 5-year multiple-entry tourism visa policy for Indian citizens was initiated by Dubai authorities in February 2024. The objective was to enhance yearly visitor arrivals from the primary source market and strengthen cultural-economic ties.

3. Under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Chhattisgarh government has recommenced efforts to establish an aluminium manufacturing hub on more than 140 hectares of land in the Korba district. The objective is to stimulate the small-scale aluminium product industry by capitalising on the presence of Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), the state-owned major aluminium producer.

5. A recent examination of high-resolution satellite pictures for the years 2021-2022 found an alarming pattern of ice loss in Africa, notably in East Africa’s tropical glaciers.
