1. As part of the Earth Day Celebrations, the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) recently erected and turned on the largest climate clock in India at the CSIR Headquarters in New Delhi. The occasion represents the goal of CSIR to raise energy literacy and raise awareness of climate change.
पृथ्वी दिनाच्या उत्सवाचा एक भाग म्हणून, वैज्ञानिक आणि औद्योगिक संशोधन परिषदेने (CSIR) नुकतेच नवी दिल्लीतील CSIR मुख्यालयात भारतातील सर्वात मोठे हवामान घड्याळ उभारले आणि चालू केले.

2. The Department of Space’s U R Rao Satellite Centre (previously known as ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC)) in Bengaluru recently observed Satellite Technology Day (STD) 2024, commemorating the momentous 50th anniversary of India’s first satellite launch, Aryabhata, on April 19, 1975.
बेंगळुरूमधील अंतराळ विभागाच्या UR राव उपग्रह केंद्राने (पूर्वी ISRO उपग्रह केंद्र (ISAC) म्हणून ओळखले जाणारे) अलीकडेच 19 एप्रिल, 1975 रोजी भारताच्या पहिल्या उपग्रह प्रक्षेपित आर्यभट्टच्या 50 व्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त उपग्रह तंत्रज्ञान दिवस (STD) 2024 साजरा केला.
3. A research just published identified a new adaptive mechanism of the Mpox virus that increases its capacity to infect people during current epidemics. Originally “monkeypox,” the term was altered to “mpox” to represent the virus’s direct human infectivity and to avoid stigmatising primates.
नुकत्याच प्रकाशित झालेल्या एका संशोधनाने Mpox विषाणूची नवीन अनुकूली यंत्रणा ओळखली आहे जी सध्याच्या साथीच्या काळात लोकांना संक्रमित करण्याची क्षमता वाढवते. मूलतः “मंकीपॉक्स” हा शब्द व्हायरसच्या थेट मानवी संसर्गाचे प्रतिनिधित्व करण्यासाठी आणि लांछनीय प्राइमेट्स टाळण्यासाठी “mpox” मध्ये बदलण्यात आला.
4. A cache of 3,730 lead coins was found in an earthen jar by the Department of cultural of Telangana recently in Phanigiri, a well-known Buddhist cultural site 110 kilometres from Hyderabad.
हैदराबादपासून 110 किलोमीटर अंतरावरील प्रसिद्ध बौद्ध सांस्कृतिक स्थळ फणिगिरी येथे तेलंगणाच्या सांस्कृतिक विभागाने अलीकडेच एका मातीच्या भांड्यात 3,730 शिशाची नाणी सापडली आहेत.
5. In New Delhi, the National Colloquium on “Government at the Grassroots after Three Decades of the 73rd Constitutional Amendment” was launched to commemorate National Panchayati Raj Day 2024. The ceremony will present honours to the top panchayats for their contributions to bettering the lot of rural families.

6. South Korean scientists have just created next-generation sodium batteries that charge in a matter of seconds. Combining components from conventional batteries with those found in supercapacitors, these innovative hybrid sodium-ion batteries.

7. Indian industrial and logistics park developer IndoSpace wants to raise between USD 700 and USD 800 million by establishing an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT). This would be the largest industrial and logistics sector InvIT in India. 52 industrial logistic parks are owned by IndoSpace in 11 Indian cities.
भारतीय औद्योगिक आणि लॉजिस्टिक पार्क डेव्हलपर इंडोस्पेसला पायाभूत सुविधा गुंतवणूक ट्रस्ट (InvIT) स्थापन करून USD 700 ते USD 800 दशलक्ष उभी करायची आहे. हे भारतातील सर्वात मोठे औद्योगिक आणि लॉजिस्टिक क्षेत्रातील InvIT असेल. 11 भारतीय शहरांमध्ये 52 औद्योगिक लॉजिस्टिक पार्क्स इंडोस्पेसच्या मालकीची आहेत.
