1. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) celebrated Passport Seva Divas (PSD) on 24 June, 2020, to commemorate the enactment of the Passports Act on 24 June, 1967.

3. The Union Cabinet decided to bring all co-operative banks under the Reserve Bank of India through an ordinance.

4. In a bid to boost domestic and international tourism, the Union Cabinet approved the proposal to declare the Kushinagar airport in Uttar Pradesh as an international airport.
देशी आणि आंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्यटनाला चालना देण्याच्या प्रयत्नात केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने उत्तर प्रदेशमधील कुशीनगर विमानतळ आंतरराष्ट्रीय विमानतळ म्हणून घोषित करण्याच्या प्रस्तावाला मान्यता दिली.

5. The International Monetary Fund announced that India’s Gross Domestic Product will contract by 4.5% in the 2020-’21 financial year.

6. Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has released the roadmap for NCERT for the year 2020-21. The move comes as it has been decided to set up a Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission under AtmaNirbhar Bharat.
मनुष्यबळ विकास मंत्रालयाने (MHRD) सन 2020-21 या वर्षासाठी एनसीईआरटीचा रोडमॅप जाहीर केला आहे. आत्मनिर्भर भारत अंतर्गत फाऊंडेशनल लिटरेसी आणि न्यूमरेसी मिशन स्थापित करण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आल्याने हे पाऊल पुढे आले आहे.

7. The Union Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved setting up of Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF).

9. As part of the 6th International Yoga Day commemorations, the world’s first yoga university outside India has been launched in Los Angeles.

10. Costume designer-turned director Joel Schumacher, known for helming films including ‘St Elmo’s Fire’, ‘Falling Down’ as well as two ‘Batman’ movies, has passed away. He was 80.
‘सेंट एल्मो फायर’, ‘फॉलिंग डाउन’ तसेच दोन ‘बॅटमॅन’ चित्रपटांसह हेल्मिंग चित्रपटांसाठी प्रसिद्ध असलेले कॉस्च्युम डिझायनर-दिग्दर्शक जोएल शुमाकर यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 80 वर्षांचे होते.
