2. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin launched a scheme to distribute Rs 4,000 financial assistance to Sri Lankan Tamils living outside the refugee camps.

9. China will operationalise first electric train in remote Himalayan region of Tibet. The electric train will connect provincial capital Lhasa with Nyingchi.

10. Secretary in the Department of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) Guruprasad Mohapatra died of COVID-19 related complications. He was 59.
