In conjunction with the Digital Agriculture Mission, the Union Agriculture Ministry recently conducted a National Conference that concentrated on the implementation of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Boeing is scheduled to deliver its initial three AH-64E Apache attack helicopters to the Indian Army in December 2024, following a delay of over six months, which was attributed to supply chain issues. Delivery of the helicopters was initially anticipated to occur between May and July; however, the schedule was altered following negotiations between India and the United States to prioritise delivery.

| 4. An X-ray protection barrier that is portable has been devised by researchers at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) and the Government Engineering College, Barton Hill (GECBH). This device is designed to improve the safety of X-ray-based histopathology, a method that is employed to analyse tissue samples in order to diagnose diseases.

| 5. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has been awarded the 2024 UN Inter-Agency Task Force Award for its significant contributions to the reduction of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and the enhancement of mental health. This award acknowledges the successful actions of ICMR in multiple sectors over the years and the way in which its efforts support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

| 6. Recently, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) hosted a National Conclave in New Delhi with an eye towards gender mainstreaming. Working with IWWAGE (Initiative for What Works to Advance Women and Girls in the Economy), this event sought to enhance how gender concerns are handled in rural development projects, particularly under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).
