1. Maharashtra State recently announced 151 talukas out of a total 355 as drought-affected at the beginning of January 2019.
जानेवारी 2019 च्या सुरुवातीस महाराष्ट्र राज्याने 355 पैकी 151 तालुक्यांना दुष्काळग्रस्त घोषित केले आहे.

2. India launched Apollo Proton Cancer Centre (APCC) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. With this launch, India has become the 16th country in the world to offer proton therapy for cancer.
भारताने तामिळनाडूतील चेन्नईमध्ये अपोलो प्रोटॉन कॅन्सर सेंटर (APCC) सुरू केले. भारत कर्करोगासाठी प्रोटोन थेरपी उपलब्ध करणारा जगातील 16 वा देश ठरला आहे.

3. Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah was elected as Malaysia’s new king by the members of the country’s royal families. The 59-year-old was earlier appointed the Sultan of the Malaysian state of Pahang.
देशाच्या शाही कुटुंबांच्या सदस्यांनी सुल्तान अब्दुल्ला सुल्तान अहमद शाह मलेशियाचा नवा राजा म्हणून निवड केली आहे. 59-वर्षीय यापूर्वी पोहांगच्या मलेशियाई राज्यातील सुल्तान म्हणून नियुक्त करण्यात आले होते.

4. President Ram Nath Kovind will address the nation today on the eve of the 70th Republic Day.  The address will be broadcast from 7 PM on the entire national network of All India Radio and telecast over all channels of Doordarshan in Hindi followed by the English version.
70 व्या प्रजासत्ताक दिवसाच्या पूर्वार्धात राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद आज राष्ट्रांला संबोधित करतील. हे संबोधन  7 PM वाजता ऑल इंडिया रेडिओच्या संपूर्ण राष्ट्रीय नेटवर्कवर प्रसारित केला जाईल आणि दूरदर्शनच्या सर्व चॅनेलवर हिंदी भाषेत प्रसारित केले जाईल.

5. The Tamil Nadu State government bagged two awards for its performance pertaining to the Union government’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme at the National Girl Child Day celebrations in New Delhi.
तमिळनाडु राज्य सरकारने नवी दिल्लीतील राष्ट्रीय मुलींचा बाल दिवस साजरा करताना केंद्र सरकारच्या बेटी बचाओ बेटी पडो (BBBP) योजनेच्या कामगिरीसाठी दोन पुरस्कार मिळविले.
