| 1. Narendra Modi, the prime minister, recently led the 45th meeting of PRAGATI, an organization that uses technology to improve government and project delivery. The meeting was mostly about eight projects: six train projects, one for connecting roads, and one for thermal power. All together, these projects are worth more than one lakh crore rupees and are spread across several states and union territories.

| 2. China recently gave the go-ahead for the building of the world’s biggest dam on the Brahmaputra River, which will be in Tibet near the border with India.
