2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27 May paid tribute to India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his 56th death anniversary.

7. An Indian-American inventor Dr. Rajiv Joshi has bagged the prestigious Inventor of the Year award for the year 2020 for his pioneering work in advancing the electronic industry and improving artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

8. Researchers from Tsinghua University, China and the University of Connecticut in the US have jointly discovered two bacterial secreted proteins that can effectively inactivate a series of viruses, including the novel coronavirus, dengue, and the HIV.
चीनमधील त्सिंगुआ विद्यापीठ आणि अमेरिकेच्या कनेक्टिकट युनिव्हर्सिटीच्या संशोधकांनी एकत्रितपणे कोरोनाव्हायरस, डेंग्यू आणि एचआयव्ही या व्हायरसच्या मालिकेस प्रभावीपणे सक्रिय करणारे दोन बॅक्टेरियायुक्त प्रोटीन शोधले आहेत.

10. Fitch ratings, CRISIL, and SBI Research have drastically cut India’s economic growth forecast in the current fiscal year due to a prolonged lockdown. Both Fitch and CRISIL projected the economy to contract 5 per cent, from their earlier estimates of the economic growth at 0.8 per cent and 1.8 per cent, respectively.
फिच रेटिंग्ज, क्रिसिल आणि एसबीआय रिसर्चने दीर्घकाळ लॉकबंदीमुळे चालू आर्थिक वर्षात भारताच्या आर्थिक वाढीचा अंदाज मोठ्या प्रमाणात कमी केला आहे. फिच आणि क्रिसिल या दोघांनी अर्थव्यवस्थेला 5 टक्क्यांपर्यंत घसरण करण्याचा अंदाज वर्तविला होता. आर्थिक विकासाच्या पूर्वीच्या अंदाजानुसार ते अनुक्रमे 0.8 आणि 1.8 टक्के होते.
