1. The Smart Cities Mission in India is working on projects that are similar to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, helping improve cities in a sustainable way.
भारतातील स्मार्ट सिटीज मिशन अशा प्रकल्पांवर काम करत आहे जे संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या शाश्वत विकास उद्दिष्टांप्रमाणे आहेत, शहरांना शाश्वत मार्गाने सुधारण्यास मदत करतात.

2. A new report from the Lancet Commission shows that gender inequality greatly impacts how women experience cancer prevention and treatment. Even though cancer affects both genders, women face more challenges because of unequal power in society.
लॅन्सेट कमिशनचा एक नवीन अहवाल दर्शवितो की लिंग असमानता महिलांना कर्करोग प्रतिबंध आणि उपचारांचा अनुभव कसा होतो यावर मोठ्या प्रमाणात परिणाम होतो. जरी कर्करोग दोन्ही लिंगांवर परिणाम करतो, तरीही समाजातील असमान शक्तीमुळे महिलांना अधिक आव्हानांचा सामना करावा लागतो.

3. India’s dressage team won its first-ever gold medal at the Asian Games in 2023. This is a historic achievement for the team, which includes Sudipti Hajela, Divyakriti Singh, Vipul Hriday Chheda, and Anush Agarwalla.
भारताच्या ड्रेसेज संघाने 2023 मध्ये आशियाई क्रीडा स्पर्धेत पहिले सुवर्णपदक जिंकले. सुदीप्ती हाजेला, दिव्याकृती सिंग, विपुल हृदय छेडा आणि अनुष अग्रवाला यांचा समावेश असलेल्या संघासाठी ही ऐतिहासिक कामगिरी आहे.

4. The central government has extended the term of M Rajeshwar Rao as the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Deputy Governor by one year. This re-appointment has been approved by the Cabinet’s Appointments Committee.
केंद्र सरकारने भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँकेचे (RBI) डेप्युटी गव्हर्नर म्हणून एम राजेश्वर राव यांचा कार्यकाळ एक वर्षाने वाढवला आहे. या पुनर्नियुक्तीला मंत्रिमंडळाच्या नियुक्ती समितीने मान्यता दिली आहे.

5. The RBI imposed monetary penalties on three banks, State Bank of India, Indian Bank and Punjab & Sind Bank, and Fedbank Financial Services for rule violations.
The central bank imposed Rs 1.30 crore on SBI, Rs 1.62 crore penalty on IB, Rs 1 crore on Punjab & Sind Bank, and Rs 8.80 lakh on Fedbank Financial Services.

सेंट्रल बँकेने एसबीआयवर १.३० कोटी रुपये, आयबीला १.६२ कोटी रुपये, पंजाब अँड सिंध बँकेला १ कोटी रुपये आणि फेडबँक फायनान्शियल सर्व्हिसेसवर ८.८० लाख रुपये दंड ठोठावला आहे.

6. The RBI (Reserve Bank of India) has appointed KN Madhusoodanan as the part-time chairman of Dhanlaxmi Bank. He will serve in this role for three years, starting from September 26, 2023.
RBI (भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँक) ने KN मधुसूदनन यांची धनलक्ष्मी बँकेचे अर्धवेळ अध्यक्ष म्हणून नियुक्ती केली आहे. 26 सप्टेंबर 2023 पासून ते तीन वर्षे या भूमिकेत काम करतील.
