1. On February 29, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched India’s first indigenous hydrogen fuel cell ferry at Kochi Harbour, Kerala. The 24-meter vessel, manufactured by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), is a significant step forward in sustainable transportation for the country.

2. On February 29, 2024, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd, and The Walt Disney Company struck a deal to form one of India’s leading TV and streaming companies. 5. The Peruvian government has declared a 90-day health emergency in response to the fast spreading dengue virus outbreak in the country. As of February 27th, over 31,000 illnesses and 32 deaths had been documented in 20 of Peru’s 25 regions. The measure permits the rapid mobilisation of resources to combat the viral illness spread by mosquitos.

7. The 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) began on February 27th, 2023, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The four-day event brings together ministers from the WTO’s 164 members to promote negotiations on critical problems affecting global trade.
