1. The country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) is in the process of closing down nine foreign branches as part of rationalisation of overseas operations. SBI has over 190 foreign offices spread across 36 countries
भारतातील सर्वात मोठी बँक स्टेट बँक ऑफ इंडियाच्या (एसबीआय) विदेशी गुंतवणुकीच्या युक्तिकरण योजनेच्या अंतर्गत 9 परदेशी शाखा बंद करण्याची प्रक्रिया सुरू आहे. 36 देशांमधील एसबीआय 190 परदेशी कार्यालये आहेत.

2. Japanese air-conditioner maker Daikin Industries Ltd has appointed it’s India operations MD & CEO Kanwaljeet Jawa into the board of the parent company.
जपानी एअर कंडिशनर मेकिंग डायकिन इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेडने भारतीय कंपनीचे संचालक एमडी व सीईओ कंवलजीत जावेवा यांची मूळ कंपनीच्या मंडळावर नियुक्ती केली आहे.

3. India has emerged as one of the top 10 countries to have registered maximum improvement in transparency in real estate over last two years, showed JLL’s Global Real Estate Transparency Index (GRETI) 2018.
एलएलचे ग्लोबल रिअल इस्टेट ट्रान्सपरेन्सी इंडेक्स (जीआरईटीआय) 2018 नुसार, गेल्या दोन वर्षांपासून रिअल इस्टेटमध्ये पारदर्शकता वाढवणार्या टॉप 10 देशांपैकी  एक म्हणून भारत देश उदयास आला आहे.

4. According to Mercer’s 24th annual Cost of Living Survey, Mumbai is India’s most expensive city, followed by New Delhi and Chennai.
मर्सरच्या 24 व्या वार्षिक खर्च पाहणी सर्वेक्षणानुसार, मुंबई हे भारतातील सर्वात महाग शहर आहे, त्यापाठोपाठ नवी दिल्ली आणि चेन्नई आहे.

5. According to research firm SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk, Bengaluru has claimed the second spot in the list of best locations for launching tech startups.
रिसर्च फर्म ‘SmallBusinessPrices.co.uk’च्या मते, बंगळुरूने टेक स्टार्टअपच्या शुभारंभासाठी सर्वोत्तम स्थानांच्या यादीत दुसरे स्थान पटकावले आहे.

6. The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) Prakash Javadekar proposed a draft bill to repeal the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act of 1956 and set up the Higher Education Commission of India (HECI), a move that aims to reform higher education in India.
केंद्रीय मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालयाने (एचआरडी) प्रकाश जावडेकर यांनी 1956 च्या विद्यापीठ अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) कायदा रद्द करण्याचा मसुदा तयार केला आणि भारत उच्च शिक्षण आयोग (एचईसीआय) स्थापन केला.

7. Prime Minister launched the Van Dhan Scheme of Ministry of Tribal Affairs and TRIFED on 14th April 2018 during the celebrations of Ambedkar Jayanti at Bijapur Chattisgarh
पंतप्रधानांनी विजापूर छत्तीसगढ येथे आंबेडकर जयंती उत्सव दरम्यान 14 एप्रिल 2018 रोजी आदिवासी व्यवहार मंत्रालय व ट्राइफेड व्हॅन धन योजनेचा शुभारंभ केला.

8. The Ministry of Shipping’s flagship programme for port-led-prosperity ‘Sagarmala’ received the ‘Gold Award’ in infrastructure sector in the recently concluded 52nd Skoch Summit 2018 in New Delhi.
नवी दिल्लीतील 52 व्या स्कोच समिट 2018 मध्ये बंदरांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील समृद्धीसाठी ‘सागरमाला’ या जहाजाच्या ‘फ्लॅटशिप प्रोग्रॅम’ला इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर क्षेत्रातील’ गोल्ड अवार्ड ‘मिळाला आहे.

9. According to TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), Mukesh Ambani-ledReliance Jio surpass Vodafone India as the country’s second largest operator in terms of “access service gross revenue” at INR62.2 billion ($903 million).
ट्राय (दूरसंचार नियामक प्राधिकरण ऑफ इंडिया) च्या मते मुकेश अंबानी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील रिलायन्स जियोने व्होडाफोन इंडियाला 62.2 अब्ज डॉलर्स (903 दशलक्ष डॉलर्स) सह “एक्सेस सेवा एकूण महसूल” म्हणून देशातील दुसऱ्या क्रमांकाचे मोठे ऑपरेटर म्हणून मागे टाकले आहे.

10. After US re-imposed sanctions against Iran after it withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal, India is planning to cut oil imports from Iran, and replacing them with more purchases from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
इराणच्या विरुद्ध 2015 च्या अणुप्रकल्प करारानंतर अमेरिकेने पुन्हा नव्याने मंजुरी दिल्यानंतर भारत इराणमधून तेल आयात कपात करण्याच्या विचारात आहे आणि त्यांना सौदी अरेबिया आणि कुवैत येथून अधिक खरेदी करण्याऐवजी पुनर्स्थित करण्याची योजना आखत आहे.
