1. The Reserve Bank released the annual report. It emphasized that “the quality of the bank’s assets and its readiness need to be closely monitored to ensure that reserves increase in the next few quarters.

2. A new telepresence robot that enables people suffering from Covid-19 and in isolation to talk to their loved ones has been developed.

3. Chinese autonomous vehicle startup, Pony.ai has received a permit from California’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to test its driverless cars without human safety drivers behind the wheel on specified streets in three cities.

4. With more than 21.23 Lakh tests conducted in the last 24 hours, India has again set a new record of highest tests conducted in a single day.

5. A team of Canadian researchers has developed a new faster, cheaper Covid-19 test that could be deployed in remote locations, clinics and airports due to its ease of use and portability.

7. According to Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, government has decided to discontinue Central Allocation of Remdesivir to States and directed National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Agency to monitor availability of Remdesivir in India

10. Srikumar Banerjee, former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, died in Navi Mumbai. He was 75.
