6. The board of directors of Axis Bank, the third largest private sector bank in India, has appointed NS Vishwanathan as the non-executive chairman for a tenure of three years. His appointment will come into effect from October 27, 2023, or upon approval by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

3. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has recently released the National Time Release Study (NTRS) 2023 report. 4. Recently, representatives of the Taliban met with special envoys from India and Pakistan, along with several international diplomats. 5. According to the 2023 Forbes’ – The Global 2000 report, National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), India’s largest power generation company, has significantly improved its ranking. NTPC climbed 52 positions to secure the 433rd rank in the list. In the previous year’s ranking (2022), the company held the 485th rank. This improvement reflects NTPC’s growth and recognition in the global power sector.
