1. World Press Freedom Day is celebrated on 3 May every year.

2. The Expert Appraisal Committee of the Environment Ministry has approved the construction of the new Parliament building at a cost of Rs.922 crore.
पर्यावरण मंत्रालयाच्या तज्ज्ञ मूल्यांकन समितीने 922 कोटी रुपये खर्चून नवीन संसद भवन बांधण्यास मान्यता दिली आहे.

3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a key meeting on the reforms in the agriculture sector and increase farmers income in India. The importance of the use of technology in the agriculture sector was emphasized in the meeting.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी कृषी क्षेत्रातील सुधारणांबाबत आणि भारतातील शेतकऱ्यांचे उत्पन्न वाढविण्याबाबत महत्त्वपूर्ण बैठक घेतली. बैठकीत कृषी क्षेत्रातील तंत्रज्ञानाच्या वापराचे महत्त्व यावर जोर देण्यात आला.

4. Yes Bank appointed Neeraj Dhawan as its Chief Risk Officer (CRO) with immediate effect. Neeraj was appointed for a period of three years. He assumed charge on 2 May.
येस बँकेने नीरज धवन यांची मुख्य जोखीम अधिकारी (सीआरओ) म्हणून तातडीने प्रभावी नेमणूक केली. नीरज यांची तीन वर्षांच्या कालावधीसाठी नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. 2 मे रोजी त्यांनी पदभार स्वीकारला.

5. Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has announced to launch ‘Bharatmarket’, a national e-commerce marketplace. It will be used for all retail traders in collaboration with several technology partners.
कॉन्फेडरेशन ऑफ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्सने (CAIT) राष्ट्रीय ई-कॉमर्स बाजारपेठ ‘भारतमार्केट’ सुरू करण्याची घोषणा केली आहे. बर्‍याच तंत्रज्ञानाच्या भागीदारांच्या सहकार्याने सर्व किरकोळ व्यापाऱ्यांसाठी याचा वापर केला जाईल.

6. The United States Food and Drug Authority (USFDA) has allowed emergency use of the antiviral drug, Remdesivir for treatment of severely ill COVID-19 patients.
अमेरिकेच्या अन्न व औषध प्राधिकरणाने (USFDA) गंभीरपणे आजारी असलेल्या कोविड-19 रूग्णांच्या उपचारासाठी अँटीव्हायरल औषध, रेमडेशिव्हिरच्या आपत्कालीन वापरास परवानगी दिली आहे.

7. Government of India has released the second installment of Rs.500 under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY).
प्रधानमंत्री जन धन योजना (PMJDY) अंतर्गत भारत सरकारने 500 रुपयांचा दुसरा हप्ता जाहीर केला आहे.
