1. Over the years, the Steel Sector has witnessed tremendous growth and India has emerged as a global force in steel production and the 2nd largest producer of steel in the world after China.

2. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently revised guidelines regarding inoperative accounts and unclaimed deposits, aiming to streamline the classification and activation processes. The revised instructions apply to all Commercial Banks and all Cooperative Banks and will come into effect from 1st April 2024.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) ने नुकतीच निष्क्रिय खाती आणि दावा न केलेल्या ठेवींबद्दल सुधारित मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वे सुधारित केली आहेत, ज्याचे उद्दिष्ट वर्गीकरण आणि सक्रियकरण प्रक्रिया सुलभ करणे आहे. सुधारित सूचना सर्व व्यावसायिक बँका आणि सर्व सहकारी बँकांना लागू होतील आणि 1 एप्रिल 2024 पासून लागू होतील.
3. More than 1 crore people have been screened for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) under the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission. The National Sickle Cell Anemia Elimination Mission launched in 2023, aims to eliminate sickle cell anemia from India by 2047.
राष्ट्रीय सिकलसेल ॲनिमिया निर्मूलन मोहिमेअंतर्गत 1 कोटीहून अधिक लोकांची सिकलसेल रोग (SCD) तपासणी करण्यात आली आहे. 2023 मध्ये सुरू करण्यात आलेल्या राष्ट्रीय सिकलसेल ॲनिमिया निर्मूलन मोहिमेचे उद्दिष्ट 2047 पर्यंत भारतातून सिकलसेल ॲनिमिया दूर करण्याचे आहे.
4. Recently, the two coastal towns Moodbidri and Karkala in Karnataka, are reviving their ancient water bodies that date back to thousands of years ago. These water bodies are part of the natural heritage and cultural identity of the towns, which are also known for their Jain temples and monasteries.

5. The Prime Minister of India has paid tributes to Rani Velu Nachiyar (3rd Jan 1730 – 25th Dec 1796) on her birth anniversary. Rani Velu Nachiyar, also known as Veeramangai, was the princess of the Ramnad Kingdom of Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.
भारताच्या पंतप्रधानांनी राणी वेलू नचियार (3 जानेवारी 1730 – 25 डिसेंबर 1796) यांना त्यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त आदरांजली वाहिली आहे. राणी वेलू नचियार, ज्याला वीरमंगाई म्हणूनही ओळखले जाते, त्या तामिळनाडूच्या रामनाथपुरमच्या रामनाद राज्याची राजकुमारी होत्या.
6. A recent report published by the Centre for Research and Planning of the Supreme Court of India, titled ‘State of the Judiciary,’ has brought attention to disparities in gender-specific facilities within district court complexes across the country.

7. The Ministry of Heavy Industries has recently extended the tenure of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components by one year, with incentives now applicable for five consecutive financial years starting from 2023-24.
अवजड उद्योग मंत्रालयाने अलीकडेच ऑटोमोबाईल आणि ऑटो घटकांसाठी उत्पादन लिंक्ड इन्सेंटिव्ह (PLI) योजनेचा कालावधी एका वर्षाने वाढवला आहे, प्रोत्साहने आता 2023-24 पासून सलग पाच आर्थिक वर्षांसाठी लागू होतील.
8. Recently, the Government has extended the deadline for completion of the flagship highway development project Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I to 2027-28.
