1. The leaders of 29 countries gather in London at the NATO summit. The year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the summit. It was attended by NATO leaders and chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
लंडनमध्ये नाटो शिखर परिषदेत 29 देशांचे नेते जमले आहेत. वर्ष 2019 हे शिखर परिषदेचे 70 वे वर्धापन दिन आहे. यात नाटोच्या नेत्यांनी हजेरी लावली आणि अध्यक्षस्थानी नाटोचे सरचिटणीस जेन्स स्टाल्टनबर्ग होते.

2. Canada’s biggest public pension fund is investing up to $600 million in India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), as it seeks to grow its infrastructure bets in Asia’s third-largest economy.

3. According to a new report from Britain-based tech research firm Comparitech India is the fifth worst country in terms of extensive and invasive use of biometric data.

4. The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI)’s new draft guidelines for on-tap licensing of small finance banks (SFBs) allows payment banks to convert into SFBs after five years of operations.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडियाच्या (RBI) नव्या छोट्या फायनान्स बँका (SFBs) च्या ऑन-टॅप लायसन्सिंगसाठीच्या नव्या मसुद्याच्या मार्गदर्शक तत्त्वांमुळे पाच वर्षांच्या कामकाजानंतर पेमेंट बँकांना एसएफबीमध्ये रूपांतरित करता येते.

5. Former advisor to the Governor of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, K Vijay Kumar, has been appointed as a senior security advisor in the Union Home Ministry headed by Amit Shah.

6. Jharkhand’s Mahuamilan railway station has become the 5,500th station to get the facility free WiFi provided by the Railways has provided across the country. Midnapore Railway station of South Eastern Railway zone was the 5000th station in the country to have public Wi-Fi.

7. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that the online money transfer allowed online money transfer through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) will be available 24×7 from 26 December 2019. The move by RBI aims to promote digital transactions in the Country.

8. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announced the setting up of five Space Technology Cells (STCs) at India’s premier engineering and science colleges. The Indian Space Agency aims to build new applications, conduct space research, and high-end technology.
