1. Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad and Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), New Delhi began research on the whole genome sequencing of novel coronavirus for the first time.
सेंटर फॉर सायंटिफिक अँड इंडस्ट्रियल रिसर्च (CSIR) सेंटर फॉर सेल्युलर अँड मॉलीक्युलर बायोलॉजी (CCMB), हैदराबाद आणि इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ जेनोमिक्स अँड इंटिग्रेटिव्ह बायोलॉजी (IGIB), नवी दिल्ली यांनी प्रथमच कादंबरीच्या कोरोनाव्हायरसच्या संपूर्ण जीनोम अनुक्रमांवर संशोधन सुरू केले.

2. Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Justice Sanjay Dhar and Justice Puneet Gupta were sworn in as permanent Judges of the common High Court for the Union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

3. FastSense Diagnostics announced that it is currently developing two modules for the detection of COVID-19. The startup is being funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).

4. Airtel Payments Bank has tied up with Bharti AXA General Insurance to launch a coronavirus insurance policy.
एअरटेल पेमेंट्स बँकेने कोरोनाव्हायरस विमा पॉलिसी सुरू करण्यासाठी भारती एक्सा जनरल विमाशी करार केला आहे.

5. The Government of India has relaxed a ban on exports of paracetamol and hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) that are used to treat COVID-19. The drugs are currently placed in the licensed category. The move came as the US President Donald Trump had threatened India with retaliation if India rejected the US’s demand for the supply of hydroxychloroquine.
भारत सरकारने कोविड-19 च्या उपचारांसाठी वापरल्या जाणार्‍या पॅरासिटामोल आणि हायड्रॉक्सीक्लोरोक्विन (HCQ) च्या निर्यातीवरील बंदी शिथिल केली आहे. औषधे सध्या परवानाधारक प्रकारात ठेवली आहेत. अमेरिकेचे अध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी हायड्रोक्सीक्लोरोक्विन पुरवठा करण्याच्या अमेरिकेची मागणी फेटाळून लावल्यास भारताला सूड उगवण्याची धमकी दिल्यामुळे हे पाऊल पुढे आले आहे.

6. The Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Forge and InnovatioCuris launched “SAMADHAN”, a mega online challenge, to test the ability of students to innovate.

7. Indian Air Force (IAF) has rendered continuous support in the fight against Coronavirus by providing medical supplies to all the states in the country. Medical supplies are transported to equip the state governments/Union Territories (UTs) and supporting agencies to combat the contagion effectively and efficiently.

8. The Central government has announced that it will deploy more drones to enhance monitoring of the lockdown. GoI aims to ensure that a large number of people do not gather at religious congregations, with several festivals.
लॉकडाऊनचे निरीक्षण वाढविण्यासाठी केंद्र सरकारने आणखी ड्रोन तैनात करण्याची घोषणा केली आहे. अनेक सणांनी मोठ्या संख्येने लोक धार्मिक मंडळ्यांमध्ये एकत्र न येता येतील हे सरकारचे लक्ष्य आहे.

9. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to amend the Salary, Allowances, and Pension of Members of Parliament (MP) Act through an ordinance. As per the amendment, there will be a salary cut of all ministers, including Prime Minister, for a year by 30%.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखालील केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने वेतन, भत्ते आणि संसद सदस्यांच्या निवृत्तीवेतन (MP) कायद्यात अध्यादेशाद्वारे सुधारणा करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. या दुरुस्तीनुसार, पंतप्रधानांसह सर्व मंत्र्यांच्या पगारामध्ये एक वर्षात 30% घट होईल.

10. Global anti-money laundering watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has announced that it will review Pakistan’s performance to meet international commitments in the fight against terror financing.
