1. World Post Day is celebrated every year on 9 October. It is the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern.

2. The Kuwaiti government, headed by Prime Minister Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah, reportedly submitted its resignation to Emir Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah.

3. The Reserve Bank of India in its bi-monthly Monetary Policy statement issued has maintained a status quo keeping the key interest rates unchanged.

4. A Cabinet panel appointed J Venkatramu as managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of India Post Payments Bank for three years.

6. The World Bank expects India’s economy to contract 9.6% FY21, steeper than 3.2% shrinkage projected earlier.
जागतिक बँकेने अशी अपेक्षा केली आहे की भारताची अर्थव्यवस्था वित्तीय वर्ष 21मध्ये 9.6% टक्के राहील, जी पूर्वीच्या अंदाजानुसार 3.2 टक्के वाढीपेक्षा जास्त होती.

9. India’s largest telecom operator Reliance Jio has partnered USP Studios, a content creator for kids, to strengthen the platform’s offering for children.
