| 1. India’s gig economy is changing quickly. According to new research, the gig and platform employment will grow to 62 million by 2047. This will be around 15% of the entire workforce that doesn’t work in agriculture. Technological developments and shifting workforce choices are important drivers of this increase. The VV Giri National Labour Institute used information from an NITI Aayog report from 2022 for their analysis. This report shows doubling of gig workers in the future years. Advertisement

| 2. China has made leap in artificial intelligence with the deployment of non-binary AI processors. Professor Li Hongge’s team at Beihang University made this progress. They have created a revolutionary computing technique dubbed Hybrid Stochastic Number (HSN) computing. This idea tries to solve major limits in traditional computing.
चीनने नॉन-बायनरी एआय प्रोसेसरच्या तैनातीसह कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्तेत झेप घेतली आहे. बेहांग विद्यापीठातील प्राध्यापक ली होंगे यांच्या टीमने ही प्रगती केली. त्यांनी हायब्रिड स्टोकास्टिक नंबर (एचएसएन) संगणन नावाचे एक क्रांतिकारी संगणन तंत्र तयार केले आहे. ही कल्पना पारंपारिक संगणनातील प्रमुख मर्यादा सोडवण्याचा प्रयत्न करते. |
| 3. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is thinking of creating a public infrastructure investment trust (InvIT). This program attempts to boost public funding for its asset monetisation pipeline. The idea comes after the successful introduction of a private InvIT that has already made money from more than 2,300 kilometers of roadways. NHAI wants to get more investors and provide regular people access to infrastructure assets.

| 4. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lowered rates by 100 basis points (bps). The goal of this measure is to increase demand for loans and spending in the economy. But it makes things harder for regular depositors since deposit rates are likely to go down when the savings rate goes down. It’s important to think about how this choice will affect bank credit, the economy, and how people act.

| 5. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is implementing a new strategy to fight landslide catastrophes. The 3Ms, which stand for mapping, monitoring, and mitigation, are the three main parts of this method. This project came about because of changes in rainfall patterns and more floods and landslides. Recent research shows that climate change would make extreme weather occurrences in India worse.

| 6. The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has presented important revisions to the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Rules, 2006, to attract investment and streamline operations in semiconductor and electronics component manufacture.

| 8. Shubhanshu Shukla, an Indian astronaut, will fly the Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station (ISS), and Peggy Whitson, an American, will be in charge of the expedition. As part of the mission, ISRO is sending tardigrades, which are tiny, tough creatures, to the ISS to see how life may survive in very harsh circumstances in space.
