1. The United Nations’ (UN) International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12 each year to recognize efforts of the world’s youth in enhancing global society.
जागतिक समाज वाढविण्यासाठी जगातील तरुणांनी केलेल्या प्रयत्नांना मान्यता देण्यासाठी दरवर्षी 12 ऑगस्ट रोजी युनायटेड नेशन्स (यूएन) आंतरराष्ट्रीय युवा दिन साजरा केला जातो.

2. Google dedicated a doodle to mark the 100th birth anniversary of Indian scientist Vikram Sarabhai.
भारतीय वैज्ञानिक विक्रम साराभाई यांच्या 100 व्या जयंतीनिमित्त आज गुगलने डूडल समर्पित केले.

3. Industrial production growth dropped to two per cent in June this year, mainly on account of the poor show by mining and manufacturing sectors.There was a slowdown in the manufacturing sector, which grew at 1.2 per cent in June as compared to 6.9 per cent a year ago.
यावर्षी जूनमध्ये औद्योगिक उत्पादनातील वाढ दोन टक्क्यांपर्यंत खाली आली आहे, मुख्यत: खाणकाम आणि उत्पादन क्षेत्रातील घट दाखविल्यामुळे. उत्पादन क्षेत्रातील मंदी होती, जी जूनमध्ये 6.9 टक्क्यांच्या तुलनेत 1.2 टक्क्यांनी वाढली.

4. Public sector Indian Bank signed a corporate agency agreement with Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company for distribution of its insurance products to bank customers.

5. RBL Bank and digital healthcare platform Practo have partnered to launch an industry first co-branded health credit card.

6. Huawei Technologies launched its own Operating System (WAS) named as HongMeng OS in Chinese/ Harmony OS in English. The first version of the OS launched later in 2019.

7. The Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Arjun Ram Meghwal, inaugurated the 3rd International Electric Vehicle (EV) Conclave at the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) in Manesar, Gurugram.

8. Biologist Chandrima Shaha will become the first woman to head the Indian National Science Academy (INSA). She previously the vice-president of INSA and the director of the National Institute of Immunology in Delhi.
जीवशास्त्रज्ञ चंद्रिमा शहा भारतीय राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान अकादमी (आयएनएसए) ची प्रमुख म्हणून काम करणाऱ्या पहिल्या महिला ठरतील. यापूर्वी त्या आयएनएसएचे उपाध्यक्ष आणि दिल्लीतील नॅशनल इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ इम्यूनोलॉजीच्या संचालक आहेत.

9. The Khelo India will be held in Assam from 10th to 22nd of January 2020. 500 such playgrounds will be inaugurated this year.

10. Skipper Virat Kohli became the second-highest run-getter for India in ODIs as he played a knock of 120 runs against Windies in the second ODI. Kohli broke the record of former captain Sourav Ganguly who scored 11,363 runs in 311 ODIs.
कर्णधार विराट कोहली दुसर्‍या एकदिवसीय सामन्यात विंडीजविरुद्ध 120 धावांची खेळी खेळत असताना वन डेमध्ये भारतासाठी सर्वाधिक धावा करणारा दुसरा खेळाडू ठरला. कोहलीने माजी कर्णधार सौरव गांगुलीचा विक्रम मोडला ज्याने 311 एकदिवसीय सामन्यात 11,363 धावा केल्या.
