1. National Youth Day or Yuva Diwas is observed on 12 January across India. The day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
राष्ट्रीय युवा दिन किंवा युवा दिवस 12 जानेवारी रोजी भारतभर साजरा केला जातो. हा दिवस दरवर्षी स्वामी विवेकानंदांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त साजरा केला जातो.

2. Centre appointed 2 joint secretaries, 13 deputy secretaries, and 25 under secretary-rank officials to the newly-created department of military affairs. The department is to be headed by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat.
केंद्राने दोन संयुक्त सचिव, 13 उपसचिव आणि 25 सेक्रेटरी-रँक अधिकारी नव्याने सैन्यात काम करणार्‍या विभागात नियुक्ती केली. या विभागाचे प्रमुख चीफ ऑफ डिफेन्स स्टाफ (CDS) जनरल बिपिन रावत हे आहेत.

3. India is planning to double crude oil imports from the US. The move is a part of its effort to reduce dependence on the West Asia region.

4. India is currently erecting a new non-cut steel fence along its sensitive border with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It aims to plug vulnerable and infiltration-prone patches.

5. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Through the portal, people can report cyber crimes online.
केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शहा यांच्या हस्ते भारतीय सायबर क्राइम कोऑर्डिनेशन सेंटर (I4C) आणि नॅशनल सायबर क्राइम रिपोर्टिंग पोर्टलचे उद्घाटन झाले. पोर्टलच्या माध्यमातून लोक ऑनलाइन सायबर गुन्ह्यांचा अहवाल देऊ शकतात.

6. The Union Cabinet approved government’s stake sale in four PSUs in Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL), namely, MMTC, NMDC, BHEL and MECON.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने नीलाचल इस्पात निगम लिमिटेड (NINL), MMTC, NMDC, BHEL आणि MECON या चार PSUमध्ये सरकारच्या हिस्सेदारी विक्रीस मान्यता दिली.

7. Justice Dilip B Bhosale has resigned from the post of Lokpal member citing personal reasons.

8. Indian-American biochemist Har Gobind Khorana, who won the 1968 Nobel Prize for medicine, was honoured by a Pakistani university, which announced to set up a Research Chair in his name.

9. A prototype of the naval version of the light combat aircraft (LCA) successfully completed the test trial. It landed and took off from India’s aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya on 11 January 2020.
लाइट कॉम्बॅट एअरक्राफ्ट (LCA) च्या नेव्हल आवृत्तीची एक नमुना चाचणी यशस्वीरित्या पूर्ण केली. ते 11 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी भारतीय विमानवाहू जहाज आयएनएस विक्रमादित्य येथे चढले आणि उड्डाण केले.
