2. The Nation is celebrating the birth anniversary of youth Icon Swami Vivekananda on 12 January.

3. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the ‘Single Window Clearance System’ for smooth and transparent operationalisation of coal mines.

4. Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO will adopt one hundred Atal Tinkering Labs across the country to promote education in the field of Space Education and Space Technology related innovations for school students.
भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्था, इस्रो शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी अंतराळ शिक्षण आणि अवकाश तंत्रज्ञानाशी संबंधित नवकल्पना क्षेत्रात शिक्षणासाठी प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी देशभरातील शंभर अटल टिंकिंग लॅबचा अवलंब करणार आहे.

6. The Union Science and Technology Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan launched state-of-the-art vessel ‘Sagar Avneshika’,  at Chennai Port Trust in Chennai.

7. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Bindu Sagar Cleaning Project in presence of Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan in Bhubaneswar.

8. The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), under the administrative control of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NHPC Ltd.
नवीन व नूतनीकरणयोग्य उर्जा मंत्रालयाच्या प्रशासकीय नियंत्रणाखाली असलेल्या भारतीय नूतनीकरणयोग्य उर्जा विकास एजन्सीने (IREDA) NHPC लिमिटेडशी सामंजस्य करार केला आहे.

9. Jay Shah has been named as the official representative of  Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board meetings.
आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषदेच्या (ICC) बोर्डाच्या बैठकीसाठी जय शाह यांना भारतीय क्रिकेट नियामक मंडळाचे (BCCI) अधिकृत प्रतिनिधी म्हणून नेमण्यात आले आहे.

10. Renowned astrophysicist Professor Shashikumar Madhusudan Chitre passed away. He was 84.
प्रसिद्ध खगोलशास्त्रज्ञ प्राध्यापक शशी कुमार मधुसूदन चित्रे यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 84 वर्षांचे होते.
