| 1. The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) are doing a joint air exercise in situ to improve how well the two forces can work together and communicate with each other. The exercise is another step toward greater defense cooperation between India and Thailand.The IAF says that Su-30MKI fighter jets, Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft, Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, and IL-78 mid-air refueling aircraft are all taking part, along with RTAF’s Gripen fighter jets. | 2. The Ministry of Defence has signed a Rs 2,312 crore deal with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to buy eight Dornier 228 planes for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). | 3. India and the UK have agreed to work together on military training more closely. For the first time, Indian Air Force instructors will train British fast jet pilots. The 19th UK-India Air Staff Talks in New Delhi led to the announcement of the decision.As part of the deal, three Qualified Flying Instructors (QFIs) from the Indian Air Force will be sent to RAF Valley, which is the best training base in the UK for fast jet pilots. | 5. Odisha will add QR codes to land ownership documents so that property details can be checked online right away. Suresh Pujari, the Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, said that soon every land patta, or Record of Rights (RoR), will have a QR code on it that will give full information about who owns it, where it is, and its transaction history.
