1. The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in March 2022 passed a resolution to mark May 12th as International Day of Plant Health (IDPH) to raise awareness regarding the safety of plants and the importance of protecting plant health.

3. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and DP World of UAE so as to develop a Skill India International Centre at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
उत्तर प्रदेशातील वाराणसी येथे स्किल इंडिया इंटरनॅशनल सेंटर विकसित करण्यासाठी राष्ट्रीय कौशल्य विकास महामंडळ (NSDC) आणि UAE च्या DP वर्ल्ड यांच्यात सामंजस्य करारावर स्वाक्षरी करण्यात आली आहे.

4. India’s first organic waste-powered Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station has been inaugurated at Keshavrao Khadye Marg, Mumbai, Aditya Thackeray, Maharashtra’s Minister of Environment and Tourism inaugurated this charging station on 9th May 2022.
भारतातील पहिल्या सेंद्रिय कचऱ्यावर चालणारे इलेक्ट्रिक व्हेईकल (EV) चार्जिंग स्टेशनचे उद्घाटन केशवराव खाडये मार्ग, मुंबई येथे करण्यात आले आहे, महाराष्ट्राचे पर्यावरण आणि पर्यटन मंत्री आदित्य ठाकरे यांनी 9 मे 2022 रोजी या चार्जिंग स्टेशनचे उद्घाटन केले.

5. An experience studio on drones at NITI Aayog was launched by the Union Minister of Civil Aviation.

6. Kerala has been struck by another viral disease known as the Tomato Flu. It is a rare viral disease due to which blisters shaped like tomatoes are formed. As of 11th May 2022, around 80 children of the state who are under the age of five have already been affected.
केरळला टोमॅटो फ्लू या आणखी एका विषाणूजन्य आजाराने ग्रासले आहे. हा एक दुर्मिळ विषाणूजन्य आजार आहे ज्यामुळे टोमॅटो सारख्या आकाराचे फोड तयार होतात. 11 मे 2022 पर्यंत, राज्यातील पाच वर्षांखालील सुमारे 80 मुले आधीच प्रभावित झाली आहेत.

7. Union Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) recently inaugurated the Centre of Excellence for Khadi (CoEK).

8. India unanimously elected as new Chair of Association of Asian Election Authorities for 2022-2024.

9. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has teamed up with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to offer a web-based, user-friendly programme on “Industrial AI,” aimed at upskilling employees and incorporating AI applications to industrial concerns.
इंडियन इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नॉलॉजी मद्रासने टाटा कन्सल्टन्सी सर्व्हिसेस (TCS) सोबत “इंडस्ट्रियल AI” वर एक वेब-आधारित, वापरकर्ता-अनुकूल कार्यक्रम ऑफर करण्यासाठी सहकार्य केले आहे, ज्याचा उद्देश कर्मचार्‍यांचे कौशल्य वाढवणे आणि औद्योगिक समस्यांशी AI अनुप्रयोग समाविष्ट करणे.

10. President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday awarded the prestigious President’s Colour to Indian Naval Ship (INS) Valsura. INS Valsura is a “stone frigate” (shore establishment) of the Indian Navy in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
राष्ट्रपती राम नाथ कोविंद यांनी शुक्रवारी भारतीय नौदल जहाज (INS) वालसुराला प्रतिष्ठित राष्ट्रपती रंग प्रदान केला. INS वालसुरा हे जामनगर, गुजरातमधील भारतीय नौदलाचे “स्टोन फ्रिगेट” (किनार स्थापना) आहे.
