1. Telangana, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Goa are among the states for which the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert due to a heatwave. It is predicted that the heatwave would last from April 16 to April 17.Furthermore, a second heatwave episode is expected in April for Odisha, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh, with isolated areas of these states experiencing heatwave conditions from April 16–20. This prediction comes from IMD.

2. Restrictions have been placed on the export of necessary goods to the Maldives by India’s Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). This means that necessary goods that are limited or forbidden can only be exported through four Indian ports. The ports that have been identified are the ports of Mundra, Gujarat; Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu; Nhava Sheva Sea Port (JNPT), Maharashtra; and ICD Tughlakabad, New Delhi.

3. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has approved a new vaccination called Men5CV to defend against five strains of the meningococcus bacterium. Nigeria is the first country in the world to use this vaccine. The Vaccine Alliance, or Gavi, provides funding for the vaccine. Its mission is to assist regular meningitis immunisation programmes in lower-income countries.
वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गनायझेशन (WHO) ने मेनिन्गोकोकस बॅक्टेरियमच्या पाच जातींपासून बचाव करण्यासाठी Men5CV नावाच्या नवीन लसीकरणास मान्यता दिली आहे. ही लस वापरणारा नायजेरिया हा जगातील पहिला देश आहे. व्हॅक्सीन अलायन्स किंवा गवी, लसीसाठी निधी पुरवते. कमी उत्पन्न असलेल्या देशांमध्ये नियमित मेनिंजायटीस लसीकरण कार्यक्रमांना मदत करणे हे त्याचे ध्येय आहे.
4. In the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has authorised Indian citizens to mitigate their gold price risk on internationally recognised exchanges. The decision to raise the repo rate by 35 basis points to 6.25 percent was made public by Governor Shaktikanta Das at a meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
इंटरनॅशनल फायनान्शिअल सर्व्हिसेस सेंटर (IFSC) मध्ये, भारतीय रिझर्व्ह बँक (RBI) ने भारतीय नागरिकांना आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर मान्यताप्राप्त एक्सचेंजेसवर सोन्याच्या किमतीतील जोखीम कमी करण्यासाठी अधिकृत केले आहे. रेपो दर 35 बेसिस पॉइंट्सने वाढवून 6.25 टक्के करण्याचा निर्णय गव्हर्नर शक्तीकांत दास यांनी चलनविषयक धोरण समितीच्या (MPC) बैठकीत जाहीर केला.
5. Indian banks encountered challenges in acquiring deposits during the fiscal year 2023-24, according to a report that was recently published. This resulted in the highest credit-deposit ratio in at least two decades.
