1. The United Nations’ International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is observed on October 17 each year since 1993.
1993 पासून दरवर्षी 17 ऑक्टोबर रोजी दारिद्र्य निर्मूलनासाठी संयुक्त राष्ट्रांचा आंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवस साजरा केला जातो.

2. The Maharashtra Highway Police launched MRADMS Maharashtra, a mobile application, for its personnel on 16 October. The app will collect and analyze the data related to road accidents in the state. Maharashtra state highway police will conduct training programmes for its personnel on how to use the app.
महाराष्ट्र महामार्ग पोलिसांनी आपल्या कर्मचार्‍यांसाठी 16 ऑक्टोबर रोजी MRADMS महाराष्ट्र मोबाइल अ‍ॅप लॉंच केले. हे अ‍ॅप राज्यातील रस्ते अपघातांशी संबंधित डेटा संकलित करुन त्याचे विश्लेषण करणार आहे. महाराष्ट्र राज्य महामार्ग पोलिस आपल्या कर्मचार्‍यांना अ‍ॅप कसे वापरावे यासाठी प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम घेईल.

3. India will gift 75,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan in November as announced by Ambassador Vinay Kumar. The Indian envoy made these announcements while speaking at the 37th anniversary of the Afghan Red Crescent Society’s (ARCS) Special Week.
राजदूत विनय कुमार यांनी जाहीर केल्यानुसार नोव्हेंबरमध्ये अफगाणिस्तानला भारत 75,000 मेट्रिक टन गहू भेट देईल. अफगाण रेड क्रिसेंट सोसायटीच्या (ARCS) विशेष सप्ताहाच्या 37 व्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त बोलताना भारतीय राजदूतांनी ही घोषणा केली.

4. On the occasion of World Food Day, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan launched Food Safety Mitra Scheme, Eat Right Jacket and Eat Right Jhola.
जागतिक अन्न दिनानिमित्त केंद्रीय आरोग्य व कुटुंब कल्याण मंत्री डॉ.हर्ष वर्धन यांच्या हस्ते अन्न सुरक्षा मित्र मित्र योजना, ईट राईट जॅकेट आणि ईट राईट झोला लॉंच केला.

5. India ranked 82 spots among the 128 countries surveyed in the World Giving Index (WGI).
वर्ल्ड गिव्हिंग इंडेक्स (WGI) मध्ये सर्वेक्षण केलेल्या 128 देशांपैकी भारताने 82 स्थान मिळवले आहे.

6. Textiles Secretary, Ravi Capoor, inaugurated the 48th edition of the Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF) at the India Expo Centre & Mart at Greater Noida.
वस्त्रोद्योग सचिव रवी कपूर यांनी ग्रेटर नोएडा येथील इंडिया एक्सपो सेंटर आणि मार्ट येथे भारतीय हस्तकला व गिफ्ट फेअरच्या (IHGF) च्या 48 व्या आवृत्तीचे उद्घाटन केले.

7. The Chenani-Nashri tunnel, the longest tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir, will be renamed after Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
जम्मू-काश्मीरमधील सर्वात लांब बोगदा असलेल्या चेनानी-नशरी बोगद्याचे नामकरण भारतीय जनसंघाचे संस्थापक श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी यांच्या नावाने करण्यात येणार आहे.

8. India Post launched a new mobile app to facilitate easier transactions for customers. The India post app is available on Google Play Store.
ग्राहकांना सुलभ व्यवहार सुलभ करण्यासाठी इंडिया पोस्टने नवीन मोबाइल ॲप लॉंच केले आहे. इंडिया पोस्ट ॲप गूगल प्ले स्टोअरवर उपलब्ध आहे.

9. India ranked third in the 2019 Hurun Global Unicorn List. It accounts for 21 of the world’s 494 unicorns. China topped the list with 206 Unicorns, followed by the US with 203 Unicorns.
2019 च्या हुरुन ग्लोबल युनिकॉर्न लिस्टमध्ये भारत तिसर्‍या क्रमांकावर आहे. हे जगातील 494 युनिकॉर्नपैकी 21 आहे. 206 युनिकॉर्न्ससह चीन पहिल्या स्थानावर आहे तर 203 युनिकॉर्न्ससह अमेरिकेचा क्रमांक लागतो.

10. The government has banned the import of National Flag from across the border by amending the import policy. The move by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Government aimed to support khadi artisans.
आयात धोरणामध्ये सुधारणा करून सरकारने सीमा ओलांडून राष्ट्रीय ध्वजांच्या आयातीवर बंदी घातली आहे. वाणिज्य व उद्योग मंत्रालयाच्या या निर्णयाचे लक्ष्य खादी कारागिरांना पाठबळ देणे आहे.
