1. The United Nations’ (UN) International Human Solidarity Day is annually held on December 20 to celebrate unity in diversity.
संयुक्त राष्ट्रांचा (UN) आंतरराष्ट्रीय मानव एकता दिन विविधतेत एकता साजरा करण्यासाठी दरवर्षी 20 डिसेंबर रोजी आयोजित केला जातो.

2. The International Astronomical Union (IAU) announced the names of the newly discovered stars and planets, where the name “Sharjah” was chosen for a star with “Barjeel” being the name of one of its planets.
आंतरराष्ट्रीय खगोलशास्त्रीय संघटनेने (IAU) नव्याने शोधलेल्या तारे आणि ग्रहांची नावे जाहीर केली, जिथे “बार्जील” तारेच्या एका ग्रहाचे नाव असलेल्या स्टारसाठी “शारजाह” हे नाव निवडले गेले.

3. The Indian Navy, in collaboration with Indian Coast Guard, Cochin Port Trust conducted a large scale Anti Hijacking Exercise “Apharan” off the Port of Kochi.

4. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified the setting up of the first ever Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Tripura.
वाणिज्य व उद्योग मंत्रालयाने त्रिपुरामध्ये प्रथमच विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र (SEZ) स्थापित करण्यास अधिसूचित केले आहे.

5. The government has appointed Devesh Srivastava as chairman and MD of national reinsurer General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re).
देवेश श्रीवास्तव यांना सरकारने राष्ट्रीय पुनर्बीमा जनरल इन्शुरन्स कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (GIC Re) चे अध्यक्ष व एमडी म्हणून नेमले आहे.

6. Portuguese Prime Minister, Antonio Costa has announced that, Portugal will be launching a Gandhi Citizenship Education Prize, each year inspired by his different thoughts and quotes.
पोर्तुगाल पंतप्रधान, अँटोनियो कोस्टा यांनी जाहीर केले आहे की, पोर्तुगाल दरवर्षी गांधी नागरिकत्व पुरस्कार जाहीर करणार आहे.

7. The 2nd Project Review Monitoring Committee (PRMC) meeting for the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline project was held successfully between the two countries on 19 December 2019 in New Delhi.
भारत-बांग्लादेश फ्रेंडशिप पाइपलाइन प्रकल्पासाठी 2 रा प्रोजेक्ट रिव्ह्यू मॉनिटरिंग कमिटी (PRMC) ची बैठक 19 डिसेंबर 2019 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे यशस्वी झाली.

8. The National Rail Transport Institute (NRTI) signed an MoU with the University of Birmingham on 18 December 2019 in New Delhi. The aim is to set up the first Centre of Excellence for Next-Generation Transportation Systems in Railways.
नॅशनल रेल ट्रान्सपोर्ट इन्स्टिट्यूट (NRTI) ने बर्मिंघम विद्यापीठाशी 18 डिसेंबर 2019 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे सामंजस्य करार केला. रेल्वेमध्ये नेक्स्ट-जनरेशन ट्रान्सपोर्टेशन सिस्टमसाठी पहिले सेंटर ऑफ एक्सलन्स स्थापित करण्याचे उद्दीष्ट आहे.

9. The US President Donald Trump has chosen Indian-American computer scientist Sethuraman Panchanathan to lead the National Science Foundation (NSF).
अमेरिकेचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प यांनी नॅशनल सायन्स फाउंडेशन (NSF) चे नेतृत्व करण्यासाठी भारतीय-अमेरिकन संगणक वैज्ञानिक सेतुरामन पन्नाथन यांची निवड केली आहे.

10. Facebook was the most downloaded app of this decade, as per data by app analytics firm App Annie. Following Facebook were three apps owned by it, namely Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram.
