2. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou jointly inaugurated the first convention centre established in Africa by India to honour the memory of Mahatma Gandhi.

7. The government appointed Challa Sreenivasulu Setty as the Managing Director (MD) of the State Bank of India (SBI) on 20 January 2020

8. GAIL India Ltd. plans to invest over Rs.45,000 crore over the next five years. The move is to expand the National Gas Pipeline Grid and city gas distribution network. The investment aims to boost the greater use of environment-friendly fuel.
गेल इंडिया लिमिटेडची पुढील पाच वर्षांत 45,000 कोटी रुपयांची गुंतवणूक करण्याची योजना आहे. नॅशनल गॅस पाईपलाईन ग्रीड आणि शहर गॅस वितरण नेटवर्कचा विस्तार करण्याचा हा प्रयत्न आहे. पर्यावरणास अनुकूल इंधनाचा अधिकाधिक वापर वाढविणे हे या गुंतवणूकीचे उद्दीष्ट आहे.

9. Ministry of Defence approved the procurement of military equipment worth over Rs.5,100 crore from indigenous sources. It also approved the construction of six conventional submarines for the Navy in India under the strategic partnership model.
संरक्षण मंत्रालयाने देशी स्रोतांकडून 5,100 कोटी रुपयांच्या लष्करी उपकरणाच्या खरेदीस मान्यता दिली. तसेच धोरणात्मक भागीदारी मॉडेल अंतर्गत नौदलासाठी भारतातील सहा पारंपारिक पाणबुडी तयार करण्यास मान्यता दिली.
