1. The Centre approved a proposal making jute packaging mandatory for all food grains. The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
केंद्र सरकारने सर्व अन्नधान्य उत्पादनांसाठी जूट पॅकेजिंग अनिवार्य करण्याच्या प्रस्तावास मंजुरी दिली. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखालील आर्थिक व्यवहारांवरील कॅबिनेट समितीने हा निर्णय घेतला आहे.
2. Karnataka State is to introduce biometric attendance system in government colleges. The Biometric system of attendance will also be introduced in the colleges under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
कर्नाटक राज्य सरकारी महाविद्यालयांमध्ये बायोमेट्रिक उपस्थिति प्रणाली सादर केली आहे. सार्वजनिक खाजगी भागीदारी (पीपीपी) मोड अंतर्गत महाविद्यालयांमध्ये उपस्थितीची बायोमेट्रिक प्रणाली देखील सादर केली जाईल.
3. India and Pakistan exchanged letters to commit themselves to build the required infrastructure for visa-free direct travel by Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan’s Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara, allowing them to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in November 2019.

5. Filmmaker Nandita Das will be honored with the International Federation of Film Producers Associations( FIAPF) Award at the 12th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Brisbane on the 29th of this month.
ब्रिस्बेनमधील 12 व्या एशिया पॅसिफिक स्क्रीन अवार्ड्स (एपीएसए) मध्ये या महिन्यात 29 तारखेला चित्रपट निर्मात्या नंदिता दास यांना आंतरराष्ट्रीय चित्रपट निर्माते संघटना (FIAPF) पुरस्कार देऊन गौरविण्यात येणार आहे.
