1. Sameer Aggarwal is appointed as CEO of Walmart India. Aggarwal appointment will come into effect from 1 April. He will report to Dirk Van Den Berghe, Executive Vice-President and Regional CEO of Asia and Global Sourcing, Walmart.
समीर अग्रवाल यांची वॉलमार्ट इंडियाच्या सीईओपदी नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. अग्रवाल यांची नियुक्ती 1 एप्रिलपासून अंमलात येईल. ते आशिया व ग्लोबल सोर्सिंगचे कार्यकारी उपाध्यक्ष आणि क्षेत्रीय मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी डर्क व्हॅन डेन बर्ग यांना अहवाल देतील.

2. The Ministry of Railways has extended the cancellation of passenger train services on Indian Railways. The move is to continue the measure taken in the wake of COVID-19. All Mail/Express trains including premium trains, passenger trains, suburban trains and trains of Metro Railway, Kolkata has been extended till 14 April 2020.
रेल्वे मंत्रालयाने भारतीय रेल्वेवरील प्रवासी रेल्वे सेवा रद्द करण्यास मुदतवाढ दिली आहे. कोविड -19च्या पाठोपाठ घेतलेली उपाययोजना पुढे चालू ठेवणे आहे. प्रीमियम गाड्या, पॅसेंजर गाड्या, उपनगरी गाड्या आणि मेट्रो रेल्वे, कोलकाताच्या गाड्यांसह सर्व मेल / एक्स्प्रेस गाड्या 14 एप्रिल 2020 पर्यंत वाढविण्यात आल्या आहेत.

3. The Census 2021 which was scheduled to be conducted in two phases has bee postponed by the Government of India due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

4. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved to continue the process of recapitalization of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs)

5. A report from China stated that a man died from Hantavirus. He was from China’s Yunnan province. He died on a bus to the Shandong province. The people who travelled along with him have been tested.

6. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the construction of Aligarh-Harduaganj flyover. The construction of the flyover will be taken up by the Ministry of Railways.

8. Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) has announced that it is to organize India’s first Global Hyperloop Pod Competition. The competition is open to all students globally.

9. The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), that functions under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has set up a control room to monitor the supply of essential commodity goods on 26 March.

10. The Uttar Pradesh state government has imposed a ban on the production and sale of pan masala during the 21-day lockdown imposed across the country. The move comes in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
